Hello looking for advice please
we are going to book a balcony cabin on Azura and wondered which deck may be the best? I understand c deck offers larger balconies however A and B decks balconies and not overlooked. Any tips about balconies and the ship in general would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for all your replys, think the problem is i have too many nice dresses, there not the heavy ones, but just need to scale down to taking a few. good to hear too nice trousers and tops can be worn on non formal nights. hubby says do the men where tucks on formal or mainly suits?
-
Tips please on how to scale down luggage on a 2 week cruise, evening dresses alone weigh so much.

Another member and myself would like to contact each other without displaying our emails publicly, how do we go about doing this?

Euro-cruiser, I don't have any experiences of this port which is why I was asking the question. It was only from the threads on CC that I had gathered the information that you were not allowed to walk in the port area, and that only the taxis booked for tours were allowed in. I have no idea as I have never been, so I was not making any generalisations based on any experiences.
Thank you to all people replying tho offering all your kind advise.

due to the busy port, you are not allowed to walk from the ship to the area where the taxi are, so you have to take the shuttle as the taxis are not allowed in this area unless organised trip is booked with them

We are shortly going on our cruise and were considering doing Pisa on our own from the ship however there seems to be some confusion over costs of actually getting out of the port, as you have to pay a shuttle fee on some cruises to get from your ship to the taxis outside of the port area.
We are travelling with P&O can anyone please help with this question? We were thinking of getting a taxi to the train and then transferring to Pisa that way to save the expense of the ships tour there. Has anyone recently sailed with P&O and can enlighten me on this?

hotel sienna, right in the centre of rome, spanish steps/trevi fountain 2 minutes, colosseum 15 min walk. A gem of a hotel and includes lovely breakfast.

Kruzseeker, thank you so much, and yes please any more info would be gratefully received re the bus stop etc so if you could let me know would be great. Glad yo told me about validating my ticket, wouldn't have known about that either and don't want any fines. You mentioned there are 2 train stations, can u walk to the station from the ship, depending on where it docks, and does it matter which train station we go to, or are we best to get a bus, from the dock into pisa? hope you can advise us further.
All the other advice is brilliant.
Thanks so much x

Hi Tripalot, I believe you are on the same cruise at the same time as ourselves too. Thanks for your advice, yes we have researched that you can get bus or train to pisa so may take a chance on the local transport for that trip. we have decided having been to Rome that we will be booking the beach trip excursion as fancy a chilled out day and Rome although beautiful and not to be missed if you haven't visited is such a tiring day. Regarding Corfu town, is it where the ship docks i.e. within walking distance or is transport required to the town. I am sure your hubby will enjoy the boat trip tho.
could you send the link to download the port guides please.

Thank you so much for all your advise, I think we are just going to do the Pompeii trip and save Sorrento for maybe another time. We feel from the sounds of things the trip to Pompeii may be rushed if combined with the Sorrento one. We feel a little worried doing this trip ourselves with the train tho so may book one of the excursions to Pompeii.
