We had had it last summer on Silhouette - was good value if your already had the premium package  — was nice to get mini fridge stocked with soft drinks and a few beers… kinda paid for itself with the included casino credit.  Sadly, I believe they retired this package sometime in the past year as we tried to book it recently for our upcoming cruise on Reflection next week but were told no longer available when we phoned Celebrity.

Apologies if already been asked…

Given the ship has not been revolutionised, can you advise whether:

1. Retreat lounge is still Michael’s?

2. is there no retreat sun deck or private suite area for sunbathing?

3. Is it the beer (think called craft social) or wine bar (cellar master from memory) on board?

Thanks all… I tried similar technical steps as suggested above before posting.  It’s a weird one as on previous cruises speciality was always available after final payment.  I’ll take the advise of some and try to book as soon as on board.

We are due to sail on Regal Princess in 11 days and every time we try to book via the medallion app over past few months, we are presented with a message saying please try again closer to cruise.  
 

We have paid balance off in full since January and can book MDR via app and shore excursions via website.  

On previous Princess cruises, we were able to book a couple of months in advance.  Starting to get worried it will be a mad rush in embarkation to get our usual 1st and last day bookings in.  I have also tried ringing Princess a few times but gave up after being held in queue for ages.

Is anyone aware of any issues booking speciality dining via the medallion app - or having similar issues themselves?… and if so we’re you able to get it resolved somehow?

Love crown grill… we ate there 3 times on our Halloween cruise on regal.  Looking forward to sailing again on regal at Easter.  For me, the blackened steak chop(which is essentially a ribeye) was some of the best steaks I had in a longtime.  Like others I was looking forward to trying the sea bass but it wasn’t on the menu on our cruise… only seafood was the lobster and some prawn dish… no fish. The veal and lamb is good also.

When we were on Regal at Halloween we found a few cut backs due to covid.  There was no pub lunch, crab shack or chefs table during our cruise… or any events or sales to speak of (at least that we could see). Though we didn’t mind as were just glad to get away.  Would be great if it’s back on as back on regal at Easter.  

Hi, we live in Belfast and have done this route a few times.  We have found flying to Southampton directly the easiest. You can fly to Heathrow and get a transfer (£95) or Gatwick and get a 2 hour train (£17pp).

We are due to go soon, we are going the night before (Staying in Holiday Inn) and then coming back the day after (White Star Tavern) - simply because there is no flight for us on the Saturday and we couldn't be bothered with the messing around getting to Heathrow. Only downside for us is it's only 15kg luggage allowance with Eastern Airways.

We have sailed Emerald Princess in Alaska. Great ship. Princess is great and is very compatible.  If you are a foodie and like luxury, I would go Celebrity Apex.  Amsterdam is also an easier airport.

If you are flying to Southampton, chances are you are flying to Heathrow - you'll have a 1 hour transfer by car to Southampton.  Princess also doesn't include tips and drinks usually.

We are in the day after you on Pearl LMADAMS

Last year we booked an inside cabin as everything else was sold out on Pearl except obstructed ocean view.  We placed a maximum bid for balcony as really wanted.  We were lucky enough to win the bid despite entire cruise showing sold out from about 3 weeks beforehand.  We only got notified by email the day before the cruise.  It was a lovely surprise as we’d already thought we’d been unsuccessful.  Hopefully anyone else who has bid gets some luck also.

We are on Pearl from tomorrow and cruise was sold out for several weeks. We’d given up fit were chuffed to find out our bid was accepted only yesterday for balcony @ $350 with 2 days to go... so it’s possible.

Thanks for the review. We 'Moved Over' on to this cruise and are sailing on 4/8. You've answered a lot of questions for us [emoji846]

If you have services like Sky Q, Netflix or Amazon Prime Video then you can now download shows and movies as part of your package to phones and tablets to use whilst abroad. I live it the UK and have used these services many times in offline mode around the world and on cruise ships on my iPad and iPhone.

Has anyone ever done the Odyssey Tours Giants Causeway tour and gotten off in downtown Dublin rather than staying on for the city bus tour and return to the cruise terminal? We don't depart until 9pm and understand that it is not that far from the cruise terminal to downtown, Odyssey said that if we preferred to tour on foot we could get off and do so by advising the bus driver and taking a cab back to the ship (but it wasn't really clear whether people do this often). I am curious if anyone else has done this, or if anyone who has taken the tour can advise about how long it runs so that we know whether we will have enough time to make skipping the bus tour and doing it on our own worthwhile. Hey, bit confused by your post? Are you docking in Belfast or Dublin?

Assuming it's Belfast, you can easily get off in the City Centre and a taxi back to the ship will be around £6. You can't hail taxis in central Belfast (stupid rule) but it's very easy to get one booked. You can use Uber (which isn't very big here) or book with Fonacab (02890333333) or Value Cab (02890809080). Taxis will usually be with you in about 5-10 minutes after booking.

Not happy at all !!!!! I tried to withdraw cash from an ATM this evening to be told I have insufficient funds. Phoned my bank who tell me there is a pending amount of £2958 to be paid to Princess from my current account (which I paid on 3rd March). Can't access any funds and if taken will make me seriously overdrawn with penalty charges. Have tried to phone Princess but just hear a recorded message saying they are aware of the problem and have no updates on resolution at present. Sort this out Princess .... and fast!!!!

Absolutely ridiculous! To be honest, its highly unlikely it will be back on your account before at least Monday. On the phone to them again not that I think we'll get anywhere. Imagine the money that is sitting in their bank account right now - should we all buy some shares lol

Fed up, have waited all day and it's highly unlikely that the pending transactions will drop off before Monday now. Have just retweeted their Tweet 5 hours ago to Sky and BBC News. Absolutely ridiculous. Thankfully we aren't reliant on our credit cards as I'm sure some will be stuck for money this weekend.

Yes - in fairness they were very nice about it. I do feel sorry for people who could be without money this weekend while they get their act together!

Just happened to look at my credit card and on two credit cards we have previously paid with Princess have applied (pending transactions) to take over £500 between them.

Phoned them and they have said that payments made in March appear to be being reclaimed and it is a system error.

Told me to phone my bank too but assured me they would refund it if it came off. Phoned the bank and they said until it fully debits then they can't do anything.

Double check your credit cards!!!!

We've done this cruise on the Eclipse. It's brilliant. Quite a few days you don't see any land, to be honest we never really noticed. The sunsets, especially out of St Petersburg were incredible!

If I buy a 1 Device Package - can I log in on my phone (i.e. in the morning) and then log in on my iPad (i.e. in the afternoon) .... Does this work as it's under one username or is it locked down to only my phone?

For those who were questioning if there is a speed difference between the packages, the answer is no. I just got off the phone with C&A and she contacted another department and was told they make the bandwidth less for the "VOOM SURF VOYAGE PACKAGE" so you cannot stream anything.
