  1. I'm happy that you can fill out a request for a price drop and email it to them, yet suspicious. So have you done it? Was it successful? Any pointers?

     

    My request is pretty straightforward, using pricing from Celebrity's own site and no changes to extras. Do they limit how many times you can make requests for small price drops? (I'd call for a large one.) And the form seems intended to be edited on your computer - I could put in my name and such (not my email, though) - but the "click here to edit" links didn't work. Printed, scanned and attached. (Perhaps I need a PDF editing program.) Just got an automated reply.

  2. We're doing the Scandinavia and Russia cruise this summer. Our daughter just turned 13, so it's her first year as an X-Clubber. Last time we cruised, she was 9 and I would take her to the Oceanview for a quick dinner around 6:30 then we'd have a leisurely grownup dinner at 7 or 7:30. (It wasn't about the food--she would have loved the regular offerings--but there were activities she would have missed that she didn't want to.) My sense is that things aren't as scheduled for the teens. (Obviously thinking of choosing dining times, and a table for three instead of a table for two.)

     

    Thanks in advance! And any general info on the teen program would be appreciated.

  3. Belle--we're staying in the same town...did a big renovation on an old house and we've already moved into it. But left a lot of things in the basement and shed of the old house. Sigh.

     

    Daughter's first day of school is tomorrow (seventh grade) so MUCH to do here. And I ate everything in the house yesterday, sadly. Today will be better.

  4. No vacation for me--we have a buyer for our house (yaaaaaaaaay!) and I'm going through all the crap in the basement. I've been tracking my food this week--which I never do for long--and I think it's really helping. Just reinforcing things that I already know...mainly, that if I eat the calories that I burn, but no more, on a "bad" day that I'll continue to lose weight consistently. Duh!!!

  5. Hey, everyone...I'm new(ish), too! (I posted once a few months ago, but now that we have an actual cruise BOOKED, I have more direction.) I'm doing the Dietbet thing where you pay money, commit to losing 4% of your weight in four weeks and get a percentage of the community pot if you make it. I just want to keep banging out one after another for many, many months! Okay...back to getting the Middle School kid ready for school next week.

  6. Hey, everyone--this group is just what I'm looking for! Thinking of doing a cruise during spring break (probably Anthem of the Seas) and just decided that if I'm at my first goal weight by Thanksgiving, I'll book it. (That's down 26 pounds, but the first ten or so should come off quickly.) I'm also a Fitbit user. (Don't you just love it?)
