Actually the 2 day test is an antigen test that you can order on the web and take at home.  The kits come in a package of two.  They must be proctored (you will connect to emed and have someone watch you take the test but you will have the results in 15 minutes.  The cost for a package is around $30.  Here in Texas to get a PCR test guaranteed to have results in 72 hours it will cost you around $150.  I did the antigen test last month for my last cruise and it was very  easy to do.

From where did you order proctored in-home eMed tests in packages of two for $30?  We've purchased them before, but only in packages of 6 for $150.  And that's still all I can find on their website.  Here's a link to their website.  https://www.emed.com/products/covid-at-home-testkit-six-pack?hsLang=en1646253836_eMedTests.jpg.719f425710048592385dfa8b6e1d1e91.jpg

  2. Questions for anybody who has rented a car from Europcar in Le Havre:

Does Europcar deliver cars for pickup at the cruise terminal?

If not, what is the best way to get from the cruise terminal to the Europcar rental location where you pick up the car?

In an earlier post, I read that somebody walked from the cruise terminal to the Europcar rental location. However, based on Google maps, their address appears to be a few miles away from the port.....or am I looking at the wrong location?

  3. Will be arriving at Venice airport and need to board our ship at San Basilio terminal. Our TA has quoted us a price of $250 USD for land transfer from airport to ship, for two people with moderate baggage. Does this seem reasonable?

Price sounds pretty high. :( Here's a much lower cost option that we plan to use. Take the AVTO bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma and the People Mover from there to the cruise terminal.

The AVTO bus will take you from the airport to Piazzale Roma for 5 Euros pp (4.5 Euros pp if you by 2 or more tickets online). Check out the ATVO bus at this link: http://www.atvo.it/index.php?lang=en&area=23&menuid=35&view_pc=!#

You can buy tickets at the airport or at a small discount at this link: http://88.36.245.11/webticketing/configuratore.jsp

From Piazzale Roma, you can take a 3 minute ride to the cruise terminal on the new overhead People Mover for about 1 Euro pp. More information on the People Mover at this link:

  4. We are on the Star Princess 30 day Cruise Rio To SF. First we have a seven day land trip to Machu Pichu four days then to Iguazu Falls for three days.

Help! do I get the Yellow Fever shot or the waiver? At this point I and so confused. When I called the Travel Dr back in the Summer I was told anyone over Sixty should not get the shot. I called yesterday and was told we shoud get the YF shot.

I have read all the threads for immunization CDC and Princess says it is not a required.

Thanks for any information you can give us.

    Betty:)

    Hi,

Just curious......did you end up getting the YF shot or did you get the waiver? We plan to be at Iguassu Falls a day or two after you'll be there. And we'll be in Machu Picchu about 3 weeks after you're there. See you at the Sheraton and/or on the Star.:)
