I've been on I-95 when all 3 lanes of traffic were going 85 miles an hour one minute and become a parking lot the next.
-
We were wondering if it was connected. Too bad...

Any other new parking garage user experiences?

Have you walked around in Central Park before? It's enormous and you could literally spend a day (or days) just walking the park. We have only walked the southern portions (took hours) and only with a group of people (safety in numbers). :)

Wow! That's very good to hear. Now we can leave the car somewhat protected from the elements. :)

That's very good to hear. How do you enter and then get to the terminal?
Can you pull your bags directly from your parking spot to the terminal or do you still have to leave them at the curb in front of the terminal before parking in the garage?

I'm wondering the same thing. Can't find any updates on-line.
I like parking right there and walking to and from the ship. Very fast and convenient.

Oh good. Last time we parked at the pier for a 12-day cruise there were bad storms while we were away and even though the car was closed up tight we still had considerable moisture inside the car when we returned. :(
Sure am looking forward to the garage. :)

The feeling is that they should have it open before it snows this year.
So when will the first snow fly this year
-
How and when will we know when the new garage is open?

We are thinking of staying here but I think the above info may be about a different hotel. Here's the one we're considering:

Especially now that they "lock the doors" at 1:30 PM or there about for our cruise which is now leaving at 3:00 PM.

Since we are driving down from central New York State and will probably be coming into the Newark-Bayonne area on 95 south, then going across the bridge the next day to Cape liberty, looks like the Hilton Doubletree Airport inn might be a very convenient place to spend the night before our cruise.
Checked the price and with tax, etc. looks like about $200.
However! Because we just paid for a night at a Hilton in Worcester for a visit there next month in advance to get a lower rate, that put our Hilton Honors points over the 20,000 mark so using those Hilton points, our night at the Doubletree will only cost us for a night parking our car in their lot plus whatever we spend on drinks and food at the bar. :) Now aren't we special? :D
Prescription mask with prism?
in Scuba and Snorkeling
Posted
I fell some 20 feet off a ladder while cutting dead limbs out of a tree behind our house in 2004. Ended up with double vision.
Was able to buy a really good fitting mask (Genesis) at a really good dive shop nearby and had them send it out to a place that fits prescriptions with prisms. I'm near sighted and have total of -9 prism (split half in each lens). See as well with them as with my glasses. :)
Will be snorkeling again on Southern Caribbean cruise at the end of this month.
