what clothes to pack for this time of year.

Have not seen any cancellations recently BY Princess, but many passengers are taking advantage of the no penalty for January cruises if you want to cancel
Here in England you have to transfer to another cruise 30 days before if you do not want to sail yet. We were due to sail on the 15th January on the Sky Princess. I decided to request a credit 25 days before but told it was too late. I have now received credit for the cash we have paid for this cruise but lost all the credit and cash we had paid for 3 long cruises that were cancelled. We are treated completely differently in Britain.

we are in a balcony deluxe which is cheaper than a basic balcony and we do no know why. There is not an inside cabin across from us. Why would deluxe balcony be cheaper?
-
Hi we were booked on this cruise when it was the Grand Princess in an inside cabin. It depends on where we are cruising to whether we have an inside or balcony. As we are only on the ship for 2 of the days and going across seas that can be rough we decided on an inside. When we received our new cabin details we had an obstructed balcony cabin on deck 8. I can't believe Princess thought this is an upgrade especially as we were given $15 each to compensate us for another cancelled cruise.
Our travel agent cruise critic doesn't think there will be a problem but you have us worried because there isn't an inside cabin next to us and the deluxe balcony is cheaper than a balcony.

I have no direct knowledge of this ship, but if there are cabins directly above your cabin with no open deck space for people to walk and for deck chairs to be dragged across the deck, it's probably OK for a lack of noise.
When I book, I want to have cabins on each side of me, on the deck above and below me, and, if possible, an inside cabin or two across the corridor from me.
I am curious as to who gave you that "assurance".

We are going on the Sky Princess for the first time. We are booked in to M202 and we have been assured that even though we have swimming pools on the deck above we have cabins above and below us. I have to have quiet to sleep as we get up early and go to bed early. Does anyone have any information about these cabins.

We have never been on a Caribbean cruise in November. I have since checked the weather and found that it rains a lot. I would like to know other peoples experiences have been as I do not want to book excursions and have them ruined.

Hi we have never been on a caribbean cruise in november as we normally go between january and march. I didn't check the weather until after I booked and it looks as if it rains a lot. Has anyone else been at this time of year and what was your experience. I am worried about pre booking excursions as it could be ruined by the weather.
thank you lancing2

cruise on May 13th for two weeks on Crown Princess. We are in Genoa on the sunday and can not find anything to do. They only offer the Cinque Terre or Portofino which we have already been to. I would be pleased if anyone has any suggestions.

Thank you for your help. I had forgotten the International Cafe which is one of my favourite places

This is a very late question. We are boarding Emerald Princess on Saturday and would like to know where to eat when we board at midday. I do not like the busy buffet

Take a cab or Uber to the Hilton Marina on 17th Street (if you are on Princess and docked at terminal #2 it is within walking distance) and take the water taxi (http://www.watertaxi.com) -- a hop on/hop off boat with the captain providing an entertaining and informational spiel. This is the best way to see Fort Lauderdale. You can disembark and cross over to the beach and/or disembark and take a walk down Las Olas Blvd (http://www.lasolasboulevard.com) with lots of shops, restaurants and galleries. Then take the water taxi back to the Hilton - or if time is short for making the ship just get a taxi or Uber.
Thank you for your help. I have printed the water taxi brochure and we hope to use it.

Our cruise is for two weeks with Fort Lauderdale stop in the middle. All the excursions on offer either end at Miami airport or visit Miami or the Everglades. We have been to these two places and would like to visit Fort Lauderdale. Has anyone got any advice.

Can anyone help us to find where to buy in England a voltage booster. We loose so much power when we plug in our english appliances. Most of the cruise lines use 110. I saw one on amazon but it got a very bad write up and our local maplin has
run out.

We like to be active such as bikes or a catamaran trip. I'm not a very good swimmer but I will do one snorkel trip for my husband's sake. We are in Costa Mayer only from 2pm till 8pm so I don't know if we have time for the ruins.

Thank you Suitetraveler. That was useful advice

We are going on Regal Princess on January 10th for 14 days. We have looked at port reviews and are just confused.
The ports we are visiting are St Thomas, St Maarten, Cozumel, Costa Mayer, Fort Lauderdale and Grand Cayman.
We have been to St Maarten but went no further than the main beach and shops.
Any advice would be welcome

My daughter is traveling on Splendor of the seas October 24th. Is it cheaper to do the trip on your own or book a tour with cruise excursions.

My daughter husband and two sons, 11 and 14, are going at october half term on Splendor of the sea. Ports are Venice, Dubrovnik, Kusadasi, Santorini and Katakolon. They are first time cruisers and need a lot of help with what to do with two young sons in these ports. Laraine

We are going on a 7 day cruise to the fiords with Princess. We donot want to spend a lot of money as we have just come back from a cruise. If we just get off the boat and walk is there anything to do.
