  1. In St Kitts, I am not interested the usual touristy stops, the only touristy thing that interests me is the Black Rocks, and MT Liamuiga views. I would love to spend a bit of time at some beaches Cockleshell Beach, Frigate Bay, Turtle Beach as well as South Friars Bay beach, I dont know how far away these beaches are from one another, but i think it would be fun to spend the day Beach Hopping. Perhaps see 3 or 4 beaches spend an hour or two at each and enjoy scenic drives along the way from one to the other! I have emailed Royston for pricing. Can anyone shed some light on this idea? would it be better to hire a Taxi when i get to port?

  2. My Husband and I will be arriving at St Thomas on the Carnival Victory in April. This will be our second time there. The first time we took Papa bear tour up to Paradise point and then stopped at a beach on the way back, we decided against Magens bay and went to a free beach instead. It was nice.

So for this trip its a toss up to either go to Magens bay or Trunk Bay. How do the two beaches compare?

Also, we do not own our own snorkel gear and would like to purchase it in St Thomas, does anyone know of a good place and how much they cost roughly? We live in Toronto Canada and at this time of year i dont think we will have much luck finding a set here.. it will be a nice souvenir that we can use for the rest of our trip. St Thomas is our first stop.

So, the fact that we need to shop around for this gear will take time away from our trip to Trunk Bay. We can just wing it and see how we feel on the day of once we're there.

Victory arrives at 7am, are the shops even open that early to get snorkels? Perhaps we should just go directly to Cruz Bay and buy snorkels there. So much to consider and so many options, its difficult to decide how to spend the day.

One more question - I read earlier that the cost of Taxi is approx $10pp, if we find another couple to share a taxi with will that save us money perhaps cost only $5pp?

Thanks in advance for anyone who can offer some tips and advice.
