  1. Don,

Photos work great but how do you get your e-mail address (Send a message to Don), I presume it is your e-mail address, as part of your signature?

I would love to have people be able to contact me without posting it in a reply.

    Ed

    Ed,

    To insert an e-mail link:

Go to your Control Panel, select Edit Signature.

Type whatever message you want, ie: Send Ed and Frank a message.

Highlight that and then select the icon on the menu bar that looks like a letter and an envelope. 185130.jpg

A pop-up window will appear and then you type in the e-mail address you want linked to Send Ed and Frank a message. When folks click on Send Ed and Frank a message, a new e-mail will open for them to send directly to you, and your e-mail address will already be in the "To" line.

    Hope this helps.

Don, you are a great teacher! Thank you.

I've posted pictures before, but your explanation was wonderful. Also, I did not know about DropShots. It's much easier to use than the other site I was using before. Thank you!

  3. Reposado,

I have sure enjoyed reading your food reviews and seeing your wonderful pictures of the meals you enjoyed on your cruise.

I'm so glad you included the Sea Bass from Red Ginger---that was my absolute favorite meal on Marina, and it's the one meal I'm looking forward to the most on Riviera.

Thank you for taking the time to share your pictures and thoughts with all of us.

  4. I did go through the process of legally dropping my first name because I realized that the world wasn't going to ignore the name my mom gave me unless I did something about it. Fortunately, 30 years ago I started using my middle name exclusively, so my SS card, military ID card, and drivers license have reflected the name I've used all those years. It took all of 5 minutes before a judge and paying a $140 fee for the change and sending off for a new passport to complete the transition.

Was it worth it? You bet...and then some. Last week, I e-mailed Oceania about changing my name on their e-mails, and this week I have received two messages from their web master, stating the change should be in place within a month (some future e-mails have already been sent for processing). Is that good enough for me? Absolutely.

When I had my TA send Oceania a copy of the legal name change document, O revised my reservations immediately. (It wasn't O's fault that my mom picked a name I hated. :o )

I will admit that no one affiliated with O ever called me by my first name on last year's cruise. I just hated seeing that name on my World Card each time I used it to get back on Marina.

  5. Richard, I feel your pain. I've gone by my middle name since I turned 30. (My mother always assured me that by the time I was 30, I would love my first name. I didn't........end of story. :) )

Anyway, last April's cruise on Oceania was the impetus for my legal name change last summer and new passport. There was NO way I would ever willingly go through having to see that name on an official document again.

Oceania has been provided a copy of my legal name change document for our upcoming cruise, yet e-mails I receive still have the greeting, Dear (old first name here), ..... I've sent requests for them to update their database, but if that's the worst thing Oceania does, I can live with it. (Though, I would be thrilled if they would just change it!)

J and S is right (as always)...it's a requirement that the ship's World Card has our legal name, as shown on our passports. I will be SO much happier having my new World Card on our upcoming TA.

My husband doesn't "get" my fixation with names. But, I can totally relate to your feelings on this.
