  1. I did Coral World and Coki Beach with my 3 kids and husband. My kids were 6, 4, and 1 1/2. The beach was perfect for them. They played in the shallow edges and loved having the waves crash over them. They both didn't know how to swim but knew they needed to keep their heads above water. I just hung back in the deeper water about 10ft away watching them enjoy themselves. They loved playing the in powdery sand also. There are showers and bathroom facilities right there which makes it very convenient.

We did Coral World first and really enjoyed it. It's not a big place but perfect for young ones. We relaxed the beach afterwards. It was our favorite day of the cruise!

  2. Hello all!

I've cruised 5 times but never on DCL and I really want to. I am married with 3 kids and I know we would have a blast. My problem is my DH!! He loves to cruise and is a big fan of the casino. (He loves to gamble a bit on vacation because he never does during regular life). Of course DCL doesn't have one and he refuses to book one. My 40th birthday is in May 2016 and I would love to do one then. It is MY birthday after all 😉.

What other adult entertainment would entice him onboard? He has few interests so that makes it hard and he can't justify the cost of taking this cruise when he won't have his favorite thing to do on board. Is there anything any of you really enjoyed? What makes it so expensive compared to other lines? Help me convince my husband to try it... Please. Thanks in advance!!

  3. Mr. Sanchos is about a 5 minute cab ride from the pier. The driver charged us $16 each way for 4 people. It was a really nice place. Great atmosphere! The water had a lot of sea debris. Not sure what else to call it. I'm not sure if it was because there was a storm the day before. Here's a couple of photos. We were just there this month. 4. If your looking at child care/camp/babysitting Carnival is the only line that takes 2 year olds and they also change diapers. Just in case you find something when your youngest turns 2 and you want a couple hours of adult time. There's no extra charge also.

Other lines charge for children under 3 and page you when your child needs a diaper change.

  5. Is there something in particular you're looking for? We cruised with our kids twice in the last 2 years. The first time they were 4, 3, and 7 months.

Make sure to bring a sponge, bottle brush, and small dish detergent to wash sippys and bottles.

Bring your smaller convenience stroller with an attached organizer. Those hallways and doorways are narrow!

Ziplock bags to carry snacks from the buffet/breakfast ( my kids snacked on cereal). Also come in handy when filled with ice as ice packs for shore excursions.

Don't hesitate to ask dining staff for foods your child will eat. My middle son hated the food on the ship and ate strawberry yogurt at all meals. (Such fun)

Swim diapers are not allowed in the ship pools. I saw some families with little inflatable pools for their little ones. I didn't do that but it's a great idea!

Don't go in with high expectations. I missed out on most of the nightlife because I stayed in the room while my husband went out and about with his parents. His parents helped us out one night and let us have some alone time at night (how nice right?). I did have a very enjoyable and memorable cruise with my little ones and can't wait to go again. Take lots of pictures!!!

  6. Follow the link that I posted back in post 2 of this thread. You can get a day pass for 60 pp for Secrets in MoBay. There are many pics both professional and amateur attached to the reviews on Trip advisor. Here is the link to the tripadvisor review

Here is a Youtube video as well.

Thank you so much! I forgot about Secrets! I will check this out. This may be the place.

  7. We LOVED Hilton Rose Hall and are considrering it again for our May cruise. Unfortunately the beach portion is extremely small and the water is murky (still loved the rest of it). We are considering Sunset Beach this time but still not sure. I really like a clean beach but I'm not sure if this is it. Feedback please?

I looked at a video on youtube that showcased Sunset Beach. The beach didn't look very appealing. It may have been the day the video was shot. I too am looking for an all inclusive with a great beach. Sunset Beach is much more inexpensive than Grand Palladium or Hilton Rose Hall. I did a search on Sandals Montego Bay and one site gave a price of $235/person. Insane!!!

  8. I found out that Grand Cayman is one hour behind Florida time. The ship usually stays on Fl time but there are times that it changes. I got lots of different answers on the CCL boards. The captain makes the call on time changes is what I heard. I will probably go with Native Ways Rays, Reef, and Starfish tour and get dropped off at 7 mile beach. They said I could be placed on a waiting list for my first choice tour.

  9. Hi all! Does anyone know if Carnival changes ship time to match port time? If the ship is scheduled to arrive at 8am and the excursion leaves at 8:30am island time would that mean I have 30 minutes to disembark or 90 minutes? I'm booking excursions and I want to make sure I book times that we can do. Thanks!

  10. I tried to book the NativeWay watersports Rays, Reef, and Rum Point tour but they are completely booked. I am so disappointed because I can't seem to find another tour that combines rays and beach time. My husband is not a great swimmer so I wanted something that we could both enjoy. I know I could just hit 7 Mile Beach after the tour but then I would have to rent lounge chairs and then take a cab back to the port. Not such a big deal I guess but the NW tour seemed to do all that for us. Does anyone know of a tour operator with a similar itinerary? Thanks for your help in advance

  11. We just did Lawrence of Antigua last November with my 3 young kids (ages 6, 4, and a 22 month old). It was a nice tour that hit the highlights of the island and you have time to hang at the beach. He charged us $45pp and did not charge us for all 3 kids. I thought that was wonderful. The best advice I can give you is book him and make sure you don't get Leslie as a guide. He was our guide and he was horrible. Barely spoke and only answered in 1 word answers when asked questions.

Also, we went to Valley Church Beach and it was kind of rough that day. My kids couldn't really enjoy the beach. Ask Lawrence what beach would be best for your 3 year old on that particular day if you can. Have fun!!!
