  1. Hey fellow CC's, if I book and pay for a cruise for someone with them listed as the passenger's can they create an account and access the booking with the booking number? I'm giving a cruise as a wedding gift, but want them to be able to access the booking to setup their onboard account, etc and access the cruise documents. I really don't want to give them my login. Should I create an account for them, then book the cruise, would that be the best avenue? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  2. Hey, I've been out with my DW on Carnival a number of times. However we decided to see what the other side looked like and booked the Oasis out of Port Canaveral for February 2017. As with other lines I have seen conflicting information on whether or not RCI is "going downhill" as some have suggested. Are the staff really as unfriendly as some have suggested? The crew on Carnival have always been very friendly and we hope that to be the case with RCI. On another note our Niece and Nephew are going with us as well, but before they could book the 6pm dining filled up and they are wait listed, any chance they'll be able to get early dining with us? Thanks for any insights you might by able to provide. :)

  3. Hi, I just booked our first cruise on RCI after an number of cruises on Carnival. I was setting up the preferences and under bed setup there seems to be a number of options. With Carnival you select either twin or king, but with RCI you get a wider selection and it's a little confusing. We have a balcony room and it only sleeps two, what is the correct choice for a king setup?

  4. DW and I sailed on it, we had a good time, but the theater is way too small as is the comedy club. We found you had to get in line early if you wanted to see a show, the rest of the ship was nice, loved the Guy's Burgers and the self dispensing beer tap on the lido deck. There is a lot of good things on it but just as many bad things. It was an experiment that I don't think will be repeated.

  5. I just read on John Heald's Facebook page that the social media packages have been added to three additional ships and will be expanded to four more by the end of May. Does anyone have an experience with them that can answer the following. Do you have to pay for each individual device or can you share the access through multiple devices on one account. Also can you use Facebook messenger or iMessage without upgrading to the higher cost package. Any help will be greatly appreciated as I will be traveling with two teenagers at the beginning of June on one of the ships that has just gotten the internet upgrades.

  6. DW and I will be going there February 2016 on the Valor, originally we were going to be going to Nassau, but Carnival swapped it for Amber Cove. Frankly I'm excited to see the new port and am glad to not be going back to Nassau. I don't expect excursion to by posted until April or May.

  7. You know why most people stay in North Charleston or Mount Pleasent, due to limited space there is little to no parking at hotels in Charleston. Most cruiser's such as myself like to do the park and cruise, since parking at the port tends to be very expensive. It's the same issue in NOLA with most staying in outlying areas. I've been to Charleston on a visit just to see the city and stayed in Mt. Pleasant, where the rates are lower and you don't have to pay to park.
