DW and I were in a cove balcony on the Dream and loved it. You can hear the waves crashing against the hull and close enough to see the fish jumping in the surf below the balcony.

Hey fellow CC's, if I book and pay for a cruise for someone with them listed as the passenger's can they create an account and access the booking with the booking number? I'm giving a cruise as a wedding gift, but want them to be able to access the booking to setup their onboard account, etc and access the cruise documents. I really don't want to give them my login. Should I create an account for them, then book the cruise, would that be the best avenue? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The upgrades where officially announced on Carnival's website and confirmed by Mr Heald so I'm pretty sure they will get done. I will personally find out as I'm booked to go out of Mobile the week after Thanksgiving next year. This will be my second time on the Fantasy and the second time out of Mobile, looking forward to having a great time!

Hey, I've been out with my DW on Carnival a number of times. However we decided to see what the other side looked like and booked the Oasis out of Port Canaveral for February 2017. As with other lines I have seen conflicting information on whether or not RCI is "going downhill" as some have suggested. Are the staff really as unfriendly as some have suggested? The crew on Carnival have always been very friendly and we hope that to be the case with RCI. On another note our Niece and Nephew are going with us as well, but before they could book the 6pm dining filled up and they are wait listed, any chance they'll be able to get early dining with us? Thanks for any insights you might by able to provide. :)

I have sailed the Sunshine, while it has good points it has many bad ones as well. I feel Carnival attempted to do too many things and got very few of them right. The comedy club is so small it's almost impossible to get into it and the main theatre is small as well. It's just the layout that I think causes so much confusion and leaves many with a bad taste.

We were on the Elation with two 18 year olds who acted as cheerleaders for us, we had a great time doing it. If your motivated your chances are better to be chosen.

We love the Radison at the port, they have a Park and Cruise package plus a really nice pool area and bar.

My DW and I are both 57 and we enjoy going on Carnival, been out 7 times and going out again in February. I think they'll have a great time.

That's what I choose, but I was just curious, it seemed strange to have two different options which had beds together. Thanks.

Hi, I just booked our first cruise on RCI after an number of cruises on Carnival. I was setting up the preferences and under bed setup there seems to be a number of options. With Carnival you select either twin or king, but with RCI you get a wider selection and it's a little confusing. We have a balcony room and it only sleeps two, what is the correct choice for a king setup?

DW and I sailed on it, we had a good time, but the theater is way too small as is the comedy club. We found you had to get in line early if you wanted to see a show, the rest of the ship was nice, loved the Guy's Burgers and the self dispensing beer tap on the lido deck. There is a lot of good things on it but just as many bad things. It was an experiment that I don't think will be repeated.

Thanks for all the help!

I just read on John Heald's Facebook page that the social media packages have been added to three additional ships and will be expanded to four more by the end of May. Does anyone have an experience with them that can answer the following. Do you have to pay for each individual device or can you share the access through multiple devices on one account. Also can you use Facebook messenger or iMessage without upgrading to the higher cost package. Any help will be greatly appreciated as I will be traveling with two teenagers at the beginning of June on one of the ships that has just gotten the internet upgrades.

I have been on both and even with out Guys I preferred the Dream, it it larger but had a better layout. The Sunshine just had a very cramped feel, I enjoyed it, but felt it could have been done so much better.

DW and I will be going there February 2016 on the Valor, originally we were going to be going to Nassau, but Carnival swapped it for Amber Cove. Frankly I'm excited to see the new port and am glad to not be going back to Nassau. I don't expect excursion to by posted until April or May.

You know why most people stay in North Charleston or Mount Pleasent, due to limited space there is little to no parking at hotels in Charleston. Most cruiser's such as myself like to do the park and cruise, since parking at the port tends to be very expensive. It's the same issue in NOLA with most staying in outlying areas. I've been to Charleston on a visit just to see the city and stayed in Mt. Pleasant, where the rates are lower and you don't have to pay to park.

Hey my DW has asked me to see if anyone knows if the balcony rooms on the Sunshine have round makeup mirrors in the bathroom. You the ones that flip and have a magnifying mirror on one side and normal on the other side. :o
Valor Fun Shops
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Getting ready to sail this Saturday, anyone know if the shops on the Valor are open. Heard Carnival switched venders and was curious if the switch had happened yet and which stories are affected.
