Can anyone advise me about if its possible to take a river cruise and be able to go on the tours at the ports with my scooter. I think I might be interested in taking a Rhine cruise. Are there any cruiselines better equipped than others.

On another subject we had 4 couples with transportation from Harwich to Heathrow. a large van that can handle all the luggage. One of the couples just cancelled the cruise so we have an opening for 1 couple .The cost is very reasonable , only $63 for 2 people. Please email me at skdlk2atgmaildotcom

I too will be using a mobility scooter for the 1st time on a cruise. Probably wont need it in the ship but will use it at the ports and tours. Donna of DONSTAN

We ended up at Market Square again, just in time to be picked up by our trusted cab driver. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to climb Belfort Tower. Oh well....hopefully next time!

We were back at the ship around 3pm in plenty of time for our 4pm departure to France.

You're photos were absolutely fabulous. We are going in May on the Brillance and I'm having difficulty finding a Taxi service for 6-8 passengers. Do you remember the company that you took. I signed up with Rony's taxis but was advised by another passenger that they were unreliable. Did you take the canal boat ride? Some of your photos look like they were taken from the water. My memories from last week's Captain's Corner briefing:

 

- Crypt being converted to cabins on the first floor and a specialty restaurant on top floor. About 100+ new passengers :(

 

- Cupcake venue going away

 

- Diamond Club becoming Concierge Lounge

 

- Card room on deck 14 becoming new Diamond Club

 

- Viking Crown Olive or Twist will replace the Crypt during the late hour disco events (much like other ships use the Viking Crown of late).

 

- It was not asked and was not volunteered what will be going in where the existing Concierge Lounge is on deck 10.

 

Those are the things I remember. She is going to be alongside doing some initial work at Freeport then will be in dry-dock proper for around 3 weeks. Sorry didn't take notes.

Thank you so much for the info on these changes. They all sound good to me. We go on the Freedom usually twice a year. We are going with a small group on Feb 22. and I set it up, so I feel more confident. Donna

Can anyone advise me about getting an inside room on deck 9 on the Epic. Will it be too noisy and how about the room size that says its 128 sq. ft. Ihave never gone on Norweigan, always traveled on RCCL or Celebrity with inside rooms

We had a great time at Mr. Busby's but the restroom was icky.:( Restrooms on Orient beach are bad also.

Great info on Dawn beach facilities. Never found good restrooms on any of the beaches either. Can any one tell me about the water at Dawn Beach aside from being beautiful.We are seniors and going next week

We were looking for a Seattle tour post cruise and needed to be picked up at pier and taken to airport after tour. They could do this so we are booking with them after our Rapsody cruise in July. Can't wait.:)

Well, there are 6 of us some maybe they knocked 10 euros pp off the going price. They are picking us up from the airport and starting the tour. We will be tired, but what a better place to be tired in.

When are you arriving in Barcelona? We get in on Oct.26 around 10am and want to do the 1/2 day tour from the airport or the hotel,preferably the airport. Our problam is they only want 4-12 people. If times are right would you mind adding 2 people to your group/

Loved Myrtle Beach and love it heretoo.It's also more convenient for cruises . We are arriving in Bargelona on Oct. 26 around 10AM and want to take a 1/2 datour with Barcelona Day tours.We are waitlisted with them for either a morning tour from the airport or an afternoon tour from the hotel .Thehey have small shared tours of 4-12 people. we are hoping some others will join us. It,s 59E p.p They have private tours also but it is very expensive. I also read that Spain Toursin Barcelona give you 10% off. Not sure if this qualifies. Hope I have interested you. Donna & Stan

Are you arriving in Barcelona o Oct.26? Thats the date we arrive and are looking to book a 1/2 day tour with Barcelona day tours. We are on a wait list with with them for a tour directly from the airport or afternoon from the hotel. They need a minimum of 4 for a shared tour. Prefer it right from airport. Arriving around 10.

:)After hearing such good things about them we would like to book their 1/2 day tour in Barcelona on Oct.26. We are going on the liberty transatlantic on 10/27/12. They require at least 4 people. hoping there some of you out there that might also be interested. They will pick you up at airport or hotel, offering morning or afternoon tours.

We LOVE the THREE HOURS of free internet which we get on Celebrity thanks to their past guest program (that's between the two of us).
