We are sailing on MSC for the first time on June 4.
I submitted a interior YC bid last week.
How long does it typically take to get an answer & will they let us know regardless if we won or lost?
Thanks

With YC, there is no added charge on any drink you get. I have not figured out how to prepay the service charge. Just know that it will be $14.00/person/day. and budget accordingly. The service charge is the only additional charge, and is the same rate for YC as for all other classes of travel.
Our first MSC cruise will be in June.
I just called & paid for the service charge over the phone.

I’m going to miss the smell of weed on my cruises. Is it really a Carnival cruise without the smell of weed? 😜
We haven't cruised with Carnival since before Covid, is this a thing now?

Just booked the November 20th sailing.
We will be driving in from the Philadelphia area, how's the parking?

We do both. We pre-pay, which is the bare minimum if you ask me, and then we'll tip cash at the end if we feel the attendants have done a great job. I've never been given a reason to not tip at the end.
Totally agree.

I just saw them at our mall in Montgomeryville Pa.

They drop you AT their private resort which is still partially under construction. Not sure if they plan to make it all-inclusive or not.
They no longer do day time cruises. They do 1 and 2 night cruises, but you can make a package to stay in a villa at the resort and go back on a subsequent cruise. I did the overnight trip with all meals/taxes/oceanview room on the ship for a total of $25. They gave me $30 in casino play and more free drinks than you can shake a stick at.

Thanks.

Nice review. Does anyone know if there are any all inclusive resorts near where the ship drops you off?

Just a change in theme. The carnival website has a description of both. Same age groups, different themes for the activities.
Thanks.

What is the difference between Camp Carnival and Camp Ocean?
Anyone?

There's a local rum, Bambarra. It's sold in the Dufry shop at the end of the pier. There's also a local beer, Turks Head, in Amber or lager. Light like most beers in hotter climates, but better than Corona or Presidente.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Is GT known for any special liquor? I'm looking for something to bring back for my Aunt & Uncle.
Thanks.

Park at the terminal. Covered parking. Close to ship. $20 per day. Well worth it to be right there. Easy in/out of port area.
Thanks.

Any tips for our first time sailing out of Miami?
Thanks.

I would just buy gift cards. Then if you don't use it all, cash out in the casino or apply it to another gift card. That's as close as you're going to get.
This is what we do & it works perfectly.

Ignorance. They should be enjoying the ship & rest of the cruise.

We stayed in both last October on a B2B, and neither had a sofa or upper bed then. The bed do convert to a king.
We didn't have an issue with people dropping weights, but people do like to use the treadmills early. It wasn't a problem for us as we get up early. We didn't have an issue with people on the balcony, we just kept our drapes closed at night and during the day you have to press your face against the outside of the window to see in. We enjoyed the room and would book it again, but they are handicapped so you could be bumped if someone needs the room.
Thanks. We are thinking about doing a b2b also. They just became available,I guess Carnival was holding them.

how old are the kids?
there is a convertible sofa and an upper bed in these rooms.
You get a window which allows for natural sunlight. there will be two doors on either side of the hall that takes you to the outside deck - which is a public deck. People will be outside your window. But not many people know that deck is there.
these cabins are also located right under the gym- right under the weight machines-- and people do drop those weights. the gym opens at 6am and closes at 10pm
these cabins are also a hike to the buffet and food every day- sometimes twice a day.
They are 10 & 12. We are early risers so the gym should not be a problem. Thanks.

They are described as Interior with Picture Window (Walkway View). Has anyone ever stayed in these or similar cabins? Would it work with 2 adults & 2 children? Thanks

Is there any way of checking availability without having it booked yet?
