  1. Hello!  We will be docked at Victoria BC on my 60th birthday.  Can anyone recommend somewhere within distance of cruise dock to find a special treat for my birthday…that is open late in evening?  I saw that all the chocolate tours are in the mornings…and many chocolate shops are closed in evenings (per their websites).  Any suggestions for something special for me to celebrate - just a slice or bite of something sweet to experience Victoria? We are wanting to do something simple on our own…not part of a cruise tour.  Thanks

  2. Looking for advice! I have a temp hold on June 7th Edge Alaska cruise and Aug 2nd Edge Cruise.  We have never been to Alaska (was booked Aug 2020- but then, Covid shut down cruises).  I like the idea of possibly seeing snow capped glaciers and drier/sunnier weather in June…..but also would like seeing much more Alaska wildlife activity & salmon in Aug.  Price is same for either cruise….any info to share that would sway me to choose one over the other? it looks like excursions we want are available at both times.  Thanks in advance!

    1. is there more wildlife activity June 7-14 vs Aug 2-9? (I realize salmon won’t be visible in June)

    2. Do chances of not getting close to Dawes increase one month vs other?

    3.  Temps…are they basically the same June 7-14 vs Aug 2-9?

  3. Yesterday I received an email from RCL stating that they have arrival times they request for the Galveston port based upon the deck your room is on. This is completely new to me! Upper decks are requested to arrive first. What if you are on an upper deck, but your arrival flight is later and you won't be able to board early like requested.....and vice/versa.

Would have planned things differently if I had known about these boarding times in Galveston....didn't see anything about it on the forums or on RCL's website or documentation.

How restrictive are they on boarding?

  4. Has anyone been to Little French Key in the last few months? We were planning to go there next week - but now a bit concerned, because I am reading some reviews that they now allow 300 tourists on the island due to a contract with Carnival.

Anyone been there with Carnival in port? How crowded was it? I have read reviews stating that it can be hard to find loungers! I need a shaded place to be - so this concerns me if it is overcrowded.

Also - how was the snorkeling? I am trying to decide between Maya Key and Little French Key. I was all gung-ho for LFK, but now I am concerned it will be a overcrowded, expensive visit.

    Thanks!
