  1. Geez. I didn't mean that literally. But it's the same thing. Everyone had to be in their rooms.

I did not think you meant it literally, but never know, the point I was trying to make was the passengers, at least on serenity where my husband was, were all talking to each other about it and were willing to do anything to help the crew. They had been paging her name for quite some time and were showing her picture and asking if anyone had seen her. They didn't think about spending some of their vacation in their cabins they were concerned for the woman and how long it had been since she was last seen.

  2. Very possible. But it would've likely been discovered sooner and handled in the early morning hours. And 2000-3000 people may not have been locked in their rooms on vacation.

My husband and sons are on the Liberty, they were not locked in their cabins. They were asked to go to their cabins so that the crew could do a headcount and search the ship.

Everyone complied and the captain and the CD kept them informed during the

    search.

My family's room steward came into there room to count them and look around.

From what my husband has told me the passengers moved with a purpose to their cabins to let the crew do their jobs.

  3. Any news from recent cruisers? Any near-future cruisers have any communication from Carnival?

My hubby and 2 sons will be boarding Liberty tomorrow for the 4 day. They did receive an email from Carnival today stating that they had tugs lined up for them in Coz.

Also stated they were good to show up at there check in time selected tomorrow.

Will post any news from my family here.

  4. So you don't need to top the waiter or bartender when they bring your drink?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

You do not have to tip the waiter or bartender, but we do. Those waiters work really hard.

We had cheers on the Elation for my surprise birthday cruise, there were 14 of us and our favorite waiters Gede and Ricky took great care of us! And we took great care of them.

  5. There was a glitch on the website last week. I was looking to see balcony rooms still available for my sailing, on the Conquest.

When I clicked on Lido deck the right deck plan came up, but the room numbers on the picture and in the box to the right were Panorama deck numbers.

So when I chose one of the available cabins the mock booking put me on deck 10 instead of deck 9.

I guess it could have happened to the OP also, picture of Lido deck and Spa deck cabin numbers on her ship?

Don't have a dog in this fight, but do not see the need to jump on the OP

  6. I know I am very late, but I wanted to thank you for your review.

I just spent 5 days in the hospital (had internet Yay!) and found your review.

Loved it so much! It really helped me pass the time in a much nicer place than the hospital.

    Thanks again,

    Tracie

P.S. think I will read your Pride review while resting waiting to be released to go back to work.
