  1. Our pins, passport holders, and luggage tags magically appeared this morning and were presented to us by the Loyalty Ambassador. Apparently, our box went to the shops on board and finally someone realized they didn't belong there. Yay! I think we're all official now. Thanks for all the great advice, everyone!

  2. About how long after you have become Pinnacle do you receive your $1200 certificate for a cruise, please? I understand that you must use this within 6 months of receiving it, right?

We turned Pinnacle on the Apr 4 sailing on Vision. Our stratum arrived on May 9. The certificate was in the box with it and was dated May 4, expiring on Nov 4. It says "must be redeemed by Nov 4". I think that means you must apply it to a cruise by that date, but not necessarily sail by then. I haven't decided yet what to apply ours to and haven't called them, so I might be mistaken (or they might change the rules by then... lol).

Our pins and the rest of the loot didn't arrive before we left on the 13th for our current cruise. We asked to have them delivered to the ship, but they didn't make it here either. Not sure when we'll ever see them.

  3. We thought the FedEx guy was going to beat the door down this morning at 8 am. He was forgiven when I realized he was delivering our stratum! Five weeks time. The letter we were given on board our recognition cruise said 3-4 weeks and I didn't believe it. But 5 weeks is good compared to the wait that a lot of people had.

Now we're hoping our pins arrive by Wed when we leave for our next cruise. Stay tuned...

  4. Hi everyone,

Our points posted today in the system - so now we're REALLY official Pinnacles! I was finally able to request the old-fashioned sticky luggage tags for our upcoming Hawaii cruise. I have to admit - this was one of the things I was looking forward to most. Those silly paper tags drove me nuts.

I noticed that all of our gift and upgrade preferences reset to blank, so had to go fill those out again. Not sure why they would reset them, but it's something to be aware of. Everything else in the Profile section remained intact.

  5. What an ALLURING story of your cruise ANTHEM. You have taken a QUANTUM leap from gold to Pinnacle in a matter of years. To me, your story made HARMONY to my ears, so much that you deserve an OVATION.

    Congrats on reaching this milestone.

Andrew - LOL, well done! Thanks, buddy.

  6. Hi everyone,

I'm very pleased to report that our Pinnacle Recognition was fantastic on the Vision. The LA is Maurice and we were his first. I'm not sure which of us was more nervous and excited! Captain Lis was incredibly generous with her time and our friends who surprised on board made the entire week something to remember forever. Excuse my silliness, but I wrote a little story about our Pinnacle Path, including all the RCI ships we've sailed on (in no particular order).

Our journey to Pinnacle began as an ADVENTURE on January 28, 2007 when we became MARINERs. We had the BRILLIANCE to quickly became “Loyal to Royal” when we were treated like MAJESTYs and MONARCHs. The sea became our OASIS. The RHAPSODY and SERENADE of the world’s oceans lulled us back again and again. As EXPLORERs, VOYAGERs and NAVIGATORs, we found our LIBERTY and INDEPENDENCE. We spent many port days shopping for JEWELs, admiring their GRANDEUR and RADIANCE. Now our ENCHANTMENT comes from the VISION that we have many more years ahead to create a new LEGEND.

Remember, it’s not about the destination, but the journey and the friends you make along the way.

  7. Hey, Jan! Where is Ana located - in the same area as the sales person or elsewhere on the ship?

Olga on the Majesty is sharing the desk with the International Ambassador (staggered hours) right next to the Guest Services desk. We just heard that the LA on Vision will be starting on Sat when we board. Wish us luck with our Pinnacle recognition having a brand new person doing it!

  8. Hey, Jan! Where is Ana located - in the same area as the sales person or elsewhere on the ship?

And I would bet that nobody is happier than the future cruise consultants (or whatever they're calling them now).

Hi Jean! Ana's desk on Adventure is on Deck 4 Aft, port side, right in front of the International Ambassador's desk. Although FCC Cecelia wouldn't admit it, she HAS to be relieved. She is very graciously helping Ana to learn her new job. I'm soooo happy about this new position. It will be great for everyone.

  9. Just a word of caution, but there is no consistency on how C&A Members earning Pinnacle Level are recognized. Some ships go over and above and others not so much. Just don't want you to have high expectations and then be disappointed.

So sorry some of you had no fanfare. But maybe some people didn't want the fuss?? We've been in touch with them on a regular basis and have made our wishes known, so hoping that it will come together. It seems like you have to be very proactive and vocal or you could be overlooked.

Have you all heard the big news???? RCI has made a fleetwide change to separate the duties of the LA from Future Sales. YIPPPEEEEE!! What a smart move. Having one person with a sales quota to meet trying to do that plus all the parties and duties of the LA was too much. Any time we needed help with a CAS question or problem, the sales person was annoyed that we were taking up their time with it. It's just now being rolled out across the ships so they might not all have their person yet, but here on Adventure this week we have Ana Prce who is just perfect for the job. She's been helping us coordinate with Vision so we have a smooth transition. I think this will make things much better for everyone. CAS is getting so huge it was time for someone dedicated to taking care of us.

  10. I'm so happy that this thread is here - thank you everyone for sharing your experiences and advice. We're joining the PC on the Apr 4 Vision sailing and just starting to think about our "free" cruise. I've been given so much misinformation about the rules that I've put this decision on the back burner for a while. At least now I know how to get to the source and get the cruise booked. Happy cruising to everyone!
