  1. I just got back from Cozumel, and thought I would share my experience. I had originally booked the Bar Hop, but even though I canvassed the other ships' roll calls, there weren't enough people and the hop was cancelled. So, then I booked the ship's Beach Hop excursion. It, too, was cancelled, due to lack of people.

So, we decided to take a chance on a cab. Not having set this up in advance, we just followed the signs to the taxi stand outside the secured area. We wanted to see the "other" side. We signed on for a 3 hour cab trip for $80. I told the dispatcher what we were interested in seeing in case the driver didn't know English that well. Our driver was Miguel, cab number 459, and he did a great job showing us around the island. He stopped wherever we wanted. We had a delicious fish plate lunch at Chen Rio. Near the end of our time, we decided we wanted to see the Punta Sur reserve ($8 per person). There is a lighthouse at the end of the road you can climb if you want (we didn't). It cost $20 extra for going over our time, but it was well worth it. So our day cost us $100 for the taxi, $16 to enter the preserve, plus tip and lunch, cheaper than the ship's excursion would have been for the 2 of us (and, I suspect, much more fun). I love the east side of the island. It was a great way to spend the day.

We tried to book the bar hop and like you not enough people signed up. We decided to hire a driver and have our own bar hop. I will report back on how it goes. So excited can't wait to finally see the "other side". :)

  2. We had Cantaro on Saturday in Cozumel and could not ask for a better time. He was waiting for us at the port and took us to the ruins, the chocolate factory, to Coconuts for lunch (YUM and FUN!) the east side and back to port,. He was pleasant, helpful, informative, very professional. Eduardo called him soon after we got into the car to make sure all was ok. Would definitely book with ToursPlaza and Cantaro again!

We just booked our driver and assigned Cantaro! Was relieved to find this post. This is the first time hiring a drive to take us around. :)

  3. Does anyone know if the balcony cabins on Panorama Deck on Victory still have the sliding glass doors or have they been changed to the normal Carnival balcony doors? Staying in 1031 & 1035 in two weeks and just wondering. Thanks for the assistance! :p

From the pictures I have found looks like just the spa deck balcony has sliding doors.

  4. Is the FTTF on the Elation yet:confused:?

Its available on the ships below:

Carnival Imagination, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Destiny, Carnival Glory,Carnival Valor Carnival Ecstasy, Carnival Sensation, Carnival Dream, Carnival Magic and Carnival Triumph

    Ports, Miami, Galveston and Canaveral

  5. After purchasing FTTF, my luggage tags were updated to include this info, but my boarding pass looks the same. Does anyone know if the boarding pass should include some indication I purchased this?

I just checked my cruise docs and at first didn't see it on my boarding pass. But it was there top of the page inside the blue box on the right. :)

  6. Yes, wondering if there is a list anywhere of all the ships that have this program?

Its available on the ships below:

Carnival Imagination, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Destiny, Carnival Glory,Carnival Valor Carnival Ecstasy, Carnival Sensation, Carnival Dream, Carnival Magic and Carnival Triumph

    Ports, Miami, Galveston and Canaveral

  7. When I purchased mine in September for my February cruise there were 13 left, out of curiosity last month I went to see how many we're left and there were none.

I purchased it for my cruise I did in August and loved it so wanted to do it again.

When I purchased mine I didn't see where it said how many were left? Where did you see how many were available?

  8. I can't decide if I should purchase this or not. We have a suite, so the only benefit I can see would be priority tendering. Since we have to tender at two ports and have booked private excursions, I wonder if it is worth it. I mean, thats basically paying $25 per tender. But then, I have heard horror stories about how long it can take to get off of the ship.

I guess getting to your room right away would be nice, but I don't really mind waiting either.

    Opinions?

    Thanks!!!

If it was me I would if my excursions were first thing in the morning. I am looking forward to getting on the ship quick and go directly to my balcony room. ;)

  9. So who has used the FTTF? I am thinking about getting this. Is it worth it? We are driving to Port of Miami so will be able to get there early? On a normal embark day do you really get to board at 11? From your past experience can we really go to the room and drop off luggage when we board? My mom had knee surgery in October and still using cane along with bad arthritis. I thought it would be nice to at least drop off our carry on bags. We cruise in Jan on the Destiny.

  10. The inflatable slides.

    The inflatable Rockit.

The Rockit was something like a bucking teeter-tooter. The challenge was to stay on and ride it. Even climbing on, was enough for the Rockit to fling its rider right into the sea!
