  1. The H4 room is the same as the SC - the only difference is that the H4 will have access to the Haven and it's courtyard and sundecks, the SC will not.

Both rooms have butlers, access to the concierge, breakfast and lunch in Modernaro, and all the other priority stuff.

I guess it depends on how much the more private Haven area is worth to you.

Thanks - that's what I figured, have you experienced both? In your opinion, is the private courtyard, pool, etc worth it? I'm kind of torn about it - but I was considering getting the thermal spa package for all four of us and I'm wondering if moving to Haven is more worth it than that (I know it's not exactly the same price comparison).

  2. Hi there,

I tried searching for the answer to this question but couldn't find the exact answer. I currently booked a 2br penthouse (SC) on the 11th floor on the Jewel, there's a 3rd and 4th guest free promo going on. I was wondering if it's worth the extra $2k (approx) to go to a Haven 2br? I don't even know if I can change it now even if it is - but thought I'd ask.

    Thanks,

  3. new2cruising2006: You can check the port schedule here: http://cruisett.com/ports.php?PortID=155&date=42

So I talked to the people at dolphin discovery, and they require a ticket/booking number from Norwegian passengers in order to get the 2 for 1 deal. I ended up booking through http://cozumel-tours.com/dolphin-swim-adventure.htm in order to get the early booking discount, but just got 15% since I'm only 30 days out. They have a graduated discount based on how far in advance you book. Another thing to note is that if you use American Express they charge you in Pesos, whereas if you book with Visa or Mastercard they charge you in Dollars. I didn't know that until after I booked, and don't know what effect it will have on the price, except for the AMEX currency exchange fee.

If you cancel more than 4 days in advance you can get all but 10% of your fee back. If your ship doesn't dock or is late you have to get a letter from the ship and fax it to them as proof, and then you can get all but 10% back or a 1-year voucher for the full amount. If they cancel you due to weather you get a refund.

Because I couldn't get the 2-for-1 deal, I only booked the swim for my two older kids. They said there's a sea lion show included, but that it would cost the rest of us an extra $15 or so at the park. Anyone have experience with that?

    Thanks!

    Scott

That's interesting - I booked last week, and I just had to tell them which ship and what day. I am actually on an NCL cruise, but I didn't have to give them a booking or ticket number.

  4. Hi there,

I have a couple of supplemental questions:

    1. We have snorkels, but not the vests, can we rent them separately there, and if so, how much? How about fins?

    2. Someone mentioned that the Hippo slide was lost at sea, did they put up a new one? I was booking excursions for our March cruise and it was one of the options there...

    3. Does anyone know how much the hairbraiding is on GSC? My DD really wants to get it done, not sure if they offer it on the ship, but GSC's our first stop.

    Thanks!

  5. I'm so glad I found this thread - I was trying to figure out which excursions to choose from the NCL website for Cozumel, I'm usually quite apprehensive about booking things outside of the cruise, but this sounds perfect, we'll get to see everything we want to, and it's customized!

I have a couple of questions (we've never been to Cozumel and I've never hired a driver for a tour guide anywhere):

    1. Does the driver "hang out" with you at all the locations, or do they just wait at the car?

    2. What if we want to spend an hour or two at a beach, do they just wait?

    3. Can you bring food/drink back on board the ship with you?

    4. Did you pay cash for all the admission fees, food, purchases that you spent at the attractions? How much should I carry with me?

    5. Do you need to bring your passport with you to go off the ship and back on?

Sorry, we haven't really gone many places outside North America, not sure about these things.

    Thanks!
