The MSC Meraviglia is docking at Heritage Wharf in the Dockyard right now at 1PM Bermuda time. So they made it, albeit a bit late.
If you ask, Guest Services will credit 10$ per guest for the missed port. Just an fYI

Just now, Pitzel said:
If you have the basic FAS beverage package, you get 20% off of the price of the bottle.
Thanks -looks like the charge per glass is a better deal (depending on the pour!!)

If you purchase a bottle and have the basic wine package, how do they calculate the up-charge? Or, do you just have to pay the full price? I really enjoy the East-West Blend and would gladly order the bottle if there was an up-charge option.

I purchased OBC at $1.30 Canadian to $1.00 USD

Excellent question! I would also like to know the answer. Anyone recently on the Constellation that can comment?
-
Thank you for taking the time to do this. We are on the Constellation soon, and this preview will really help to build the excitement.

Thanks for the tip! I was able to lower the price on two of our excursions.

Thanks all for the info - I have just saved 19% Canadian by canceling and rebooking my Celebrity excursions for an October sailing. The rate of exchange has changed in my favour.

Excellent information! I’ve recently sailed Princess and I really enjoyed bringing as much wine as I desired and paying a nominal corkage fee. Pluses and minuses to each cruise line when it comes down to it.

Thank you for the information. Yes, the last post describes the pre-purchase package I am considering. I think it is only available pre-cruise.
Now I can plan to enjoy my dinners a little more!

I’m wondering about pre-purchasing the option to select bottles of wine when on a Celebrity ship. If purchased by one individual in the reservation, I’m wondering if they have any issue with that wine being consumed as a shared bottle at the table with other adult passengers?
This seems like one way to have wine in the dining room at a “reasonable” cost without incurring the $25 corkage fee.
I know I can bring a glass from my room but there are evenings where I would prefer more than one pour with my meal.
I do not have a drinks package for my next sailing.
Thanks

Look for the thread by Canadian Burger - he just completed that cruise mid December and did a "live from Caribbean Princess review". Excellent photos and all the patters.

I asked when we came up. It’s $275/single or $540/couple for the entire cruise.
Our single afternoon reservation was $20pp.

Thanks to both of you for this information.

First stop: The Sanctuary for a sea-day afternoon reservation. (And afternoon tea)
Lido is deserted, but it’s early...

Thanks so much for this preview! We board on January 03.
Could you tell me what the price would be for the entire 10 days for the Sanctuary?

I’d be more likely to seek out a store where they have several models and price points to choose from. Some of the “less expensive” or “beginner” instruments are hard to tune /don’t stay in tune.
Choose from a reputable shop and they will give you lots of friendly and free advice on getting started. Amazon is great for books but I’d be careful with a musical instrument.

You mentioned a “soprano ukulele “. Unless your hubby has very small hands he will find that too small - the concert size has the same fingering, but the extra bit of size makes learning so much more enjoyable!

We used OCB purchased prior to cruising last Spring on the Star Princess. The refund was mailed to my home (took about two weeks). They will always mail a cheque if you didn't provide a CC.

Does anyone have experience with bringing a boxed wine (equivalent to 4 bottles) and then paying for the extra two "bottles"? I really enjoy the Bota Cabernet and it is so easy to carry in that format.

Lots to consider, thank you. I did contact customer service as the PP rate was more favorable than my Canadian dollar visa exchange rates.
Still waiting for a resolution, but with the Canadian dollar rising compared to the USD it may be beneficial to wait to book those USD items. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Sorry, should have been clear about the result! The payment wouldn't complete "this payment cannot be processed at this time".

Wondering if anyone has noticed that the rate of exchange for Canadians using PayPal is currently .78 to the American dollar. My booking is in Canadian dollars but the excursion payments are all in USD
The only problem is that the Princess site won't let me complete the transaction so that I can finish booking my excursions for a January CB cruise...
I have tried different browsers, and even tried it today on my work computer (which is very secure).
Anyone else having issues using PayPal from Canada?

Thanks for this excellent introduction to the area. I'll be there in April on the Star Princess, so this was a very welcome post!

Excellent plan cruisinfever!
We have done that and it was truly relaxing to take it all at our own pace. Didn't feel bad at all about missing formal night.
