I like your analogy but Carnival is more like the Dollar tree and Royal is more like Macy's .I would never go back on Carnival they should change the name to Circus ,CHEAPER and you get what you pay for..!!

I am taking a cruise with Royal Caribbean @ the end of the month .I looked @ drink prices and almost fell over ,$12 a mixed + tip !! .The drink packages are outrageously priced also..

This may force people to sneak booze on board .If you attempt to get the drink on board and they catch you is there any penalty ..

Is Royal the only line with these ridicules prices .?

I am taking a cruise in the future (March) on HAL, but need to know of a hotel in the Fort Lauderdale area that is moderately priced ($150), has shuttle service to the airport and the pier . I would prefer a free breakfast and would like the hotel to have a good restaurant or be in walking distance of a good restaurant.

I have read reviews that have mentioned the Sleep inn and the Hilton as good choices... these reviews have also downplayed the Road Way inn as being on the par with the" Bates Motel "
