Which site can you find this on? Uk NCL site only show the only ncl pearl cruise in July as 28/7 departure

I saw this too and phoned them. It was sold out with the exception of two inside cabins. They said the sailing was going ahead. I seen it back on the NCL UK site for a short time yesterday, everything sold out.

  2. We were in Victoria twice on a

back 2 back. First week we got a taxi into the centre and walked around ourselves - this was brilliant. 2nd week we went to Butchart Gardens. Whilst the gardens were beautiful we thought the excursion was awful. It was so overcrowded you could hardly move (we were in port with two other ships). Victoria is such a stunning city.

  3. We did a Princess and an NCL (Pearl) in Alaska - this year (back to back type thing). Everyone said to us before going that Princess was the better - we found it the other way round. Pearl is doing the British Isles for a few cruises next summer - I would go again on her any day. NCL Pearl was superb! One of the best ships we’ve ever been on! Looking at an Eastern Med on her in 2019 (we live in British Isles [emoji23])

  4. I go to Alaska in 2 weeks and nearly booked a floatplane (including with the company involved here). When I googled the trips most of the sites came up as ‘incidents / crashes’. Giving it the benefit of the doubt I went to the NTSB site and read up on incidents - there are far too many! Shame, decided it was too much of a risk for us.

  5. Port shuttles charged to your stateroom in dollars. You can settle this in cash or card at the end of cruise.

Is it worth the trip? Mmmm, will you have seen enough if this town? How hot/ rainy is it? How many castles or temples will you have seen.make your decision closer to the end of trip. Our cruise included free transfers to and from ship to airport. So $140 pp, seems a lot to me.

Google, using a Japanese toilet!! Most useful.

This made me laugh - so true! We miss the toilets [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I would make your own way- it’s very easy unless you are really tight for time.

  6. We docked this morning at 6:15 at stormont wharf and was off the ship at 6:30. It was 8 minutes and £8.30 for the taxi. There were two taxis waiting. The desk inside the airport terminal was closed directing us outside. We had to wait 20 min for them to open at 7am even though the hours says 6:30. Staff was super nice at enterprise/Alamo and we left around 7:20, 10 min ago. Car is clean and new. I’ll post later on how the day went.

  7. Thanks for your input. What are your thoughts on the ship and service?

We did the festivals cruise last July. It was AMAZING! Best cruise we have ever done, service superb and only 200 guests weren’t Japanese. The ship was very quiet after about 9pm as they all went to bed! The arrival and departure at the ports were always brilliant too. If you get the opportunity to watch the fireworks - they were the best we’d ever seen! So jealous of your trip, I’d go back tomorrow! The ship and staff were fantastic. Ship is a bit dated but well looked after and the staff and atmosphere more than make up for it!

  8. Hey, most cruise ships dock at Stormont Wharf when they arrive here. Your closest one is the one at the airport. The next one would be in the centre of Belfast. You can get a taxi to both costing around £6-8. Enjoy Belfast, I’ll be sitting in work looking out with jealousy lol - have never heard of any doing drop offs but it does no harm to send Enterprise or Sixt an email to ask.

  9. We have two days in Belfast in July. One place we would like to visit is Mount Stewart but have not been able to find any tours. Looks like we will have to take the bus and/or taxi. Do you have anything to share on Mount Stewart? Thank you.

Mount Stewart is a lovely place. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/mount-stewart

You can get the bus to Portaferry and it drops you off at the gates of Mount Stewart.

Alternatively you can hire a car?

The bus is easy enough check http://www.translink.co.uk

I took these at Temple of the Winds Mount Stewart

  10. For the two hotels you mentioned.....

The Arlington is along the Canal and near Temple Bar so would be in central Dublin near the main shopping street. The other Premier Suites are near St Stephen's Green which is a big park. This is a quieter area but still in walking distance to everywhere.

If you want to be in the centre of the city action then choose Arlington. If you want to enjoy the city but at a bit of a more relaxed pace then Premier Suites Leeson. We tend to stay near St Stephen's Green (we live in Belfast). Hope the information helps (ps check the prices on the hotel's own website as most often they are cheaper).

  11. Camden Court Hotel which is in Central Dublin near St Stephen's green is great. Alternatively you could stay at the Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport. It's a much cheaper room rate, excellent hotel and a taxi into the city is c.25 euro each way. Would still work out cheaper than paying central Dublin prices. A cheaper way you can also do it is get the free hotel shuttle to the airport (it's about 7 mins away) and then take a bus into central Dublin.
