I've been on Elation twice and just got off of the Sunshine 3 weeks ago. I loved the Sunshine and would cruise on her over and over. Probably one of my favorites actually. As far as the food, while it wasn't as good as it's been in the past, we could ALWAYS find something we liked. My 2 cents. 🙂

We just got off the Sunshine on April 30th from a 5 day and absolutely loved it. We commented that every turn you make there is someone there cleaning something! The MDR leaves some definite room for improvement, but we certainly found something to eat no matter where we were.
We are a 3 1/2 hour drive from that port and 2 1/2 from Jax, and I would sail the Sunshine again in a heartbeat!

Negative antigen test may be tricky for those who fly into port a day ahead of time. Last test I took, it took 3 days to get the results.
This was my thought as well. Especially with all the testing ramping back up again it will become an even longer wait in some areas.

Can you tell me if you book a cruise with a non refundable deposit and a promo of $500 obc and Carnival cancels the cruise, do you still get to forward that OBC to a future cruise? We have a Feb 2021 cruise booked, not paid in full yet, and I’m wonder how Carnival has handled all of your cancellations. The OBC is really what pushed me to book.
Thanks for any info!! I’m just trying to be prepared just in case.

Its the height of flu season. There is no way in hell a February cruise will sail. If the money is expendable and you have no other use for it, Carnival will appreciate it.
It's definitely not expendable, but unfortunately too late now.

I had an April cruised cancelled, so rebooked to September. That one was cancelled, so rebooked to January with an excellent casino rate. I hope it sails. It sounds like your deal is good with $450 for 2 people and a $500 OBC. I would definitely take the risk and book it.
I am hoping for the best. It's strange not being able to cruise. On the plus side, I am saving a lot of money not traveling.Ours was the casino rate as well! I've never seen a promo with a $500 obc so i went ahead and booked it last night! I hope your January cruise sails. I miss cruising. Its my recharge.

Voorhees, you must be from south jersey! Im waiting for my October cruise to be cancelled. From there, we are 75% sure we are just taking the refund. We have another cruise booked via royal from 2019 in November out of san juan that if cancelled, we will just make it a land vacation and go to Culebra and Vieques for the week. We have a rescheduled rccl cruise in February which I think will go. I will go on my October cruise if it goes.
Yep! Originally from South Jersey. Lived in Voorhees for 40 years. Moved to Georgia 6 years ago. I hope your October cruise happens!

After our 2nd cruise was cancelled, I wanted to just step back. The hubs booked a cruise for Feb 27th. We'll see what happens. I know longer have an opinion on when cruising will commence.
We had it narrowed to either Feb 15th or May 1. The February cruise had the better promo. Fingers crossed yours sticks.

I had 5 cruises this year cancelled - but I have a NYE cruise (12/27/2020) and a B2B starting 02/7/2021 that I am hoping sticks. I keep on booking, they keep on cancelling ... LOL.
Were they 5 different cruises or 1 rebooked 5 times? Keep on plugging away!

I have already had 3 cruises cancelled but still have 5 cruises booked thru next year. I fully expect my cruise in October to be cancelled and who knows what will be going on when 2021 gets here. I have no plans to book another cruise until cruises resume, although I would be tempted if I got an offer or saw a price so good that it would be tough to turn down. But it would have to be close to we will pay you to go on this cruise to get me to book it.It was too tempting to resist. I've been sitting on it since yesterday. I have a $500 future cruise credit out there from a cruise I cancelled from April, but unfortunately I cancelled prior to the mandatory shut down. This promo has a $500 OBC and it's just myself and my husband. So the total fare would cost me around $450 for both of us for a 5 day with a $500 OBC. I appreciate your response. Go Birds!

I'm on the verge of booking a Feb. 15, 2021 cruise out of Charleston to the Bahamas on the Sunshine. The price and the OBC was too good to pass up. I'm interested in seeing what everyone else is doing. I know times are uncertain, I'm just curious. Y'all are so good at giving advice!
Thanks!
Anyone stayed in a Cloud 9 Spa Balcony cabin?(On the Sunshine)
in Carnival Cruise Lines

We were in a spa balcony on deck 10 in April. We enjoyed it, but not so much because of the amenities, I've had way better on other Carnival ships, but because of the location of our cabin. I've actually booked the same cabin again for our May 2023 trip.
