Seriously? 43 views and nothing? Not one "thanks" or "hey that's good?" I spent like 4 hours tonight making that accessable for everyone. I hope that's because you're all playing with it.

I just saw this and even though I am about to leave for my cruise I still wanted to say Thanks! I don't want my +1 to hurt the thank yous. ;)

So last night I typed what happened as we were getting dressed but lost it as I took to long to submit and CC logged me out :(. So here it is again...

 

We were all pretty much dressed and waiting for the photographer Sha and I asked the kids to give us a moment in our cabin so off they went to the other cabin. At this time we exchanged wedding gift, each of us not even knowing that the other was going to give a present. Therefore I was so shocked with Sha presented me with a box to open and it was a garter...now my thighs are pretty juicey (lol) so I had no notion of wearing one so not only was I surprsied about that, but the fact that it was personalized really made me smile. Of course it had my favorite color in it as well... purple. Sha then presented me with another present to open and this time it was a book. A book about us... I was floored (and when reading it at another time I was so excited and had a great laugh). That's my baby!

 

 

 

 

So of course after all that i still had to give her my gift but I was just so excited I didn't want that moment to end. Any hoo, I gave Sha a card and when she was finished I told her that for my wedding gift to her I am giving her that (as I said this I pointed towards the balcony). Sha looked out but didn't get it. So I said 'on August 13 to the 18 you will be sailing on the Carnival Glory to Canada'. It so happened that the Glory was also in port and our cabin balcony just so happen to be facing it. Sha was like "huh?, what?, no?, I can't?"... I said 'don't worry, you can I've already cleared the dates with your boss". Sha was in shock.

 

Unbeknownst to her, I had spoken to her supervisor who cleared it with the bigger boss and we were given there blessing to have a good time. I figured after 2 years of wedding planning and our kids and friends sailing with us, plus the fact that we weren't honeymooning any time soon this would be the perfect get-away. When her uncle passed and things were just crazy right before the wedding I really knew that this was going to be exactly what she needed. We leave tomorrow and she is still in shock.

You are also able to extend your RSVP (deposit with the cruise line) deadline up to 3 times with the cruise. My TA did it for us twice and by the time the third time rolled around all but one cabin had paid their deposit.

We are getting married in port during the cruise, so everyone that is attending my wedding is sailing. I would call or email the guests that you really want to attend ahead of time though, because people will surprise you. We have almost 40 people sailing and we only invited 52.

Also, there is a $40 off voucher for Vistaprint that lasts for the next 36 hours of so. I am using it for my Welcome Aboard Bags and figured I would forward along the savings. ;)

Are you sailing on a Carnival ship? If not, the picture information could be different because each cruise company does handle things separately.

Nope, we are on Carnival in Sept. I called my coordinator yesterday and she finally admitted that is how Carnival works. Very misleading...

What ship and date are you getting married on? I am on the Dream on Sep 10.

Carnival Valor. It sails from the 18-25 and we are getting married in Sept. I called our Carnival coordinator and she totally wouldn't admit to it until I literally cornered her with questions. Finally she confirmed that it is only for "purchased photos" and she said that the CD actually has a limit of 75 photos on it! Talk about misleading! Ugh.

Thank you SO much for your review. We are getting married in Sept. and I am so excited, yet so nervous about getting married in a place that I will have no control over. Haha. Your wedding sounded wonderful, minus the few hiccups with the luggage and the picture fiasco. I am so glad you wrote about your experience and I am about to call my wedding coordinator because that is not what she told me the wedding package included. The pamphlet I received stated that the CD has all of the pictures that are taken the day of the wedding. They also said that we can use the credit toward any pictures taken during the entire cruise. Is that what they told you?
