  1. Hi! We are going to be in San Juan coming in on MSC Divina. We are in port from 8:00-4:00. My son (age 11) really wants to do zip lining at Toro Verde Adventure Park, but the representative I spoke with said 8 is when they usually pick up from the cruise port, so I don't know that we can make it. So, are there any other zip lining companies that you have experience with that are enjoyable? Thanks so much!

  2. Thank you for the responses. I may not have been clear about the kids club question. The online registration for the kids club allows kids above the age of 7 or 8 to leave on their own IF the parents sign up for that. I do not want to do that. I have only sailed with kids on Disney. On Disney, the parents were given a "phone" that they keep for the week. When a child is ready to leave or the kids staff needs a parent, they just call the phone. Does MSC offer anything similar to that? I know my kids will be more willing to try the kids club if they know in advance that they can get a hold of me anytime if needed. Thanks so much for your help. We're looking forward to this trip and trying to make a plan of action:)

  3. I have a few questions that I have not found the answer to while looking through these threads.

    1. Are there self-laundry areas on the ship? I am considering a laundry package, but I just wanted to know if I have an option to do it myself:)

    2. With the kids club, I don't want to give my kids permission to leave the club on their own. But, if they would like to leave, do the kids have the option of asking the crew at the kids club to call us (the parents)? And, do parents get some type of beeper/phone to use while the kids are in the kids club?

    3. There are only 9-12 shore excursions listed per port for our May 27th cruise. In your experience, will more excursions be available on board at the time of sailing?

Thanks in advance for your help:)

  4. We also bought the coupon book. At the shopping talk, they list all the free things you can get if you buy the book. The only problem is that many of the free things have stipulations like buy this and then you get a free... Or, you have to try on a piece of jewelry in order to get the free/cheap item. The shopping experts give you one minute to decide whether to buy or not during the talk. I would never buy the book again. As another poster said, the coupons in the maps that they give when you get off the ship at port had many of the same coupons.

  5. We booked a guarantee balcony for an upcoming cruise on Glory because of price. We decided to try it even though there were a handful of rooms on deck 6 above the nightclubs/bars that we did not want. About 30 days out we received our assignment in the exact area we did not want. Thankfully, the price to choose our room had actually gone down, and we were able call Carnival to pay the difference and choose our room.

  6. My family is considering a day pass at BCH, and part of the family is considering booking a snorkel adventure through BCH (I actually think it is a third party but the shore excursion leaves from BCH). I was wondering if anyone else has done this and what was your experience with it. Thanks so much!
