  1. My husband and I have cruised a few times, but this is our first time on Celebrity. We are booked in an Aqua Class cabin because that was the best priced balcony option available to us. I've read that Blu will be where we are seated for dinner and have seen mostly favorable comments about it. If we would prefer the menu in the main dining room on a given night, can we go there or must we stay in Blu? We sail in May...can hardly wait!

  2. We have this cabin booked, but it looks like it may be under the Solarium which I think may be the late night dance club. Has anyone stayed in this cabin? Just how noisy is it likely to be? Not really the night-life sort, preferring to see the sunrise.

  3. Hoping to do a few land vacations as well. Not sure about hubby getting time off though. Just started a new job a few months ago and already took unpaid time to go on the cruise. But if his employer is ok with more time off, a few days at the beach or in wine country is not out of the question. Then I'll get working on next summer's vacation plans (and possibly start getting a 2016 cruise in the works...won't hurt to try.)

  4. I know he hates buffets. Next time will book a line that serves breakfast and lunch in the dining room as well. Carnival only has the brunch, with very little options for lunch. Problem is that he doesn't really dislike cruising, just isn't addicted like me!

  5. Unfortunately, I've never had more than one planned at a time. But I have cruised with 2 or 3 years in between. I put a little in a separate bank account designated for vacations and other fun. I usually charge the deposit, final payment and onboard expenses in order to take advantage of cash-back incentives on my credit card. Always pay credit card balance in full from that "vacation" account so I don't get hit with interest. Currently don't have a trip planned, but the savings account will be ready when I am! Happy cruising to you!

  6. All good advice, except that I just can't "focus on other things" or stay off Cruise Critic forums. (I am a cruise addict, you know.) I do have a vacation savings plan in place and I have been looking into what's available down the road. Still doesn't help getting my husband on board again soon or wishing I were going next year! I will just have to live vicariously through other member's voyages. :)

  7. Recently returned from a cruise to the Bahamas. The budget won't allow me to book another anytime soon, plus my husband isn't as crazy about cruising as I am. Just wondering....how do you cope knowing that another voyage isn't in your future for another 3 years or more?
