I’m loving reading along with your trip 🙂. I haven’t been on Celebrity or done a solo cruise yet but I’m definitely thinking about it after reading this. I do get more vacation days than my husband after all! Your dresses are great, I’m also a fan of Amazon for dresses and of course, pockets are always a huge plus.

Thanks for asking the question! We’re sailing onOasis in the Fall so I’d love to hear what you find and what ends up being good 🙂. I’ve heard multiple people say the tofu tacos aren’t good so that might be a good evening to make dinner plans outside of the main dining room.
-
It wasn’t the last sea day because that was the last day of the cruise and people were packing up, etc.
-
For us, the first sea day was formal night and then the Katakalon night.
-
Sounds like a good first day so far! Hope you’re having fun 🙂

@honeybee1811 We've arranged to spend the day at St. Johns as well for our September cruise. Have you already gone and if so, how was the experience?
Thanks!

Following along! I'm trying to switch to a vegan diet so I look forward to hearing what your friend finds to eat 🙂

We are on the September 1st sailing too, just over 2 weeks to go!!!
Yay, it's so close now! There are several of us chatting on the post for the cruise if you want to join in. And if you haven't signed up for the meet and mingle on board, you can do that at https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/ccEntry.do

Happy to help 🙂. I’m on this cruise Sept 1 so was looking for the compass the other day anyway.

I found a Cruise Compass from July 2019 for the 7 night Greece cruise on Jewel of the Seas.
You can see it at https://www.*****.com/cruise-compasses/jewel-of-the-seas/sun-2019-07-07-0000.
It looks like there was a "White Attire" party, a 70s party, an 80's 90's party and 2 formal nights.
Hmm... I guess I can't share that site. I just googled Jewel of the Seas Greece Cruise Compass to find it.

Loved your review and the humor! We're doing our first cruise on the Freedom in September and this was helpful information :)

I'm following along since we're going to be on the Freedom in September for our first cruise :) You're review is great so far, I love the photos!
-
Thanks, this was a really helpful review! We are planning to cruise on the Freedom for the first time next September. I know there will be a lot of changes between now and then but it was definitely interesting hearing your experience.
-
Wow, the balcony is amazing and your photos are stunning! We're going to be on the Freedom the last week of September next year so I'm excited for your review :)
-
Great tips, thanks! I'm going to be doing my first cruise on Freedom of the Seas in September of next year so this is very helpful :)

I just wanted to chime in and say I'm enjoying your review. Your photos are phenomenal :)

If I were you, NewCruiser77, I would ask my travel agent: "Hey, if we give you the price difference between the soda package and the booze package, would you put us down for the booze package instead?"
That way, you could board with everything in place.
But I'll see if I can find an answer here on board.
:)
I don't know why I didn't even think of that! I'll give it a try, thanks :)

This indicates you can upgrade from Premium to Ultimate:
I'm guessing that other upgrade paths are available too, but it could depend on specific ship's management.
Thanks for providing the information! That was quick :) I'll wait and see what happens once we're on the ship.

Following along with interest :) I just booked my first cruise as an adult and it will be on the Freedom next September (Western Caribbean).
This is a weird question and I understand you might not know the answer, but I thought I'd take a chance and ask. One of the travel agent extras we're getting is free soda packages. My husband is wondering if that can be upgraded by us paying the difference for an alcohol package? I don't drink enough for it to be worth it for me but it may be worth it for him.
No other specific questions at this time but I hope you have a great cruise!
