We were on June 1 10 day Society Islands/tuamotus. We were on deck 8, not one of the end cabins, but did go out on the "secret deck" which is right inbetween those two. It was incredibly windy at times-think wind tunnel here. We had some bad weather, prompting an itinerary change, so not sure how much that affected it. We skipped day #1 in Moorea, and went back to Bora Bora to where it was more protected. Our side facing balcony was not too windy, but it got too sunny to sit outside at times. As a lot of people on here say, the ship is your balcony! The wrap around balconies do have lounge chairs, as opposed to the small table and chairs on our 806 balcony

We had Rani in May 2006. We really liked her a lot. In 2008, we had Dionne, who was from South Africa. She was great, too

We were on the June 1 10 day. Cruise director was Steve, assistant was Hoda. I'm not home so I don't have last names
-
We've sailed her at full capacity and there never seemed to be too many people, I'm just wondering how June 1 looks...
-
Appreciate the info. This 10 day includes two dive spots on my hubby's bucket list. We're praying for good weather.

We will be on June 1, and are hoping there is something-book, DVDs, etc available for autograph and purchase on the cruise. Does anyone know?
-
So what ballpark are we talking?
We will be on the PG for the third time in June. Before we go I spend hours happily reading and researching everything I possibly can. I will review when we get back, and give details as I can. This board has been such a help, I can't wait to review for everyone !

On most cruises the Guaguines put out for sale these quilts in the bar on the pool deck. I don't know how good the prices are.
I was thinking I went to an onboard activity our first cruise that I thought would be history and demo but they just had ones for sale. I can't find the la Orana from ten years ago to check

Too bad you aren't on the Cook Island trip. There is a lady in Rarotonga that makes beautiful handmade ones. That is where I got mine. Can't wait until 2017 reunion cruise, I hope to buy another. I was going to send a picture but the file is too big. Sorry:(
If I can't find one I guess I will have to make do with a trip back to Tahia Collins...

Instead of Tahitian pearls this trip I was thinking of looking for a Tifaifai quilt like they wrap you in for the anniversary celebration on board. Anyone have an idea on where is the best place to buy one? We will be on the 10 day Society and Tuamotu itinerary

Thanks, I couldn't find any when I searched. Too bad, I bet it would be stunning.

We love zipping, I haven't located any in Papeete, Bora Bora, Moorea, Taha'a or Huahine. Does anyone know of any?

We are booked on this one June 1st and I have lots of questions. I'd love daily la orana copies, to see how to plan my non-diving activities while hubby does his thing. Were dives scheduled in the AM (morning/evening) for experienced divers, etc. I really want to make his lectures . So basically I am asking for info to help this need I have to plan to death ahead of time so I can relax on board. I really appreciate any comments! I've learned so much through these boards I hope to share my thoughts after our return. Only 80 DAYS!!! Yikes

It should be the same itinerary as the June 1 one we are doing. I would really appreciate it if someone could scan and post the daily la orana, to help me plan. And post a fabulous review, of course!

We don't know where Dominique is. It must have been an old pic used in a new post. We haven't been on the PG in 8 years, had to get all the kids through college first! We'll be back June 1 to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The diver is my husband, who is really looking forward to Rangiroa and Fakarava
-
When we cruised twice before, Dominique was the dive master and sold a picture CD at the diving get-together at the end of the cruise. Don't know who is the dive master, wondering if the same thing is offered now
-
Just saw a recent post with Dominique, the dive master we had twice before on the PG.
-
I don't dive or snorkel (I don't like to get my face wet or hear myself breathing like Darth Vader). What can I do while my husband is diving?
-
Sorry for the double post!
-
Has anyone done one of these? I'm wondering what special things were offered. He is the reason we chose this sailing, as my husband is a diver.

Awww...we liked both Raiatea and Huahine
-
We've done the PG twice before and loved the jungle hike in Raiatea, I don't see it as an option now. Does anyone know why? A group would come onboard for a song and dance show also.
