  1. Hello all… I’m actually coming in from Oregon and meeting my friend coming from Massachusetts… I’ve been on over 20 cruises… Carnival, Norwegian, celebrity, princess, royal Caribbean… Really looking forward to this as the ship looks gorgeous… booked chef’s table for Tuesday… been to the Bahamas many times, but haven’t had a swim  with pigs, so I’m excited about that!  Is there a meet and greet set up… I haven’t read through everything, so I apologize if it’s already been posted… Looking forward to meeting you all… Debbie

We're on the Oct. 2nd sailing.  We've never been on Voyager, but have been on other Voyager-class ships (e.g. Navigator) as well as the Freedom-class ships.  Yes, Voyager-class ships are like short Freedom-class ships.  Actually, Freedom-class ships are longer Voyager-class since Voyager came first.  Freedom is about 100ft longer, so you get more cabins and more venues in that space.  Other than that, the Promenade and other decks are pretty much the same.  The staterooms are identical among these ship classes.

Something you miss from Freedom class is the cantilever hot tubs.  Voyagers are just normal on-deck tubs.  One of the things I like least about Voyager itself is a lack of restaurants.  There are only 3 specialty restaurants - Chops, Giovanni's and Izumi.  There's no Playmakers or Mexican option.  Also, It lacks Johnny Rocket's and Sorrento's.  The balcony openings are slightly smaller as they are cut into the hull, so they have "coves" in the corers and the glass railing does not go all the way to the floor.

  3. I was on two cruises  in September and October of 2021...honestly politics Never came up!! I think we were all just so thrilled to be back cruising and enjoying life that we studiously avoided any controversial topics.  I'm leaving this Saturday on another cruise so we'll see how it goes this time.  I am by nature quite political and an activist but when cruising I need to just recharge and enjoy

  4. c'mon...as stated previously, I have traveled as a couple ifrom inside to penthouse-have also traveled with disabled mom in handicapped room-... and also as a solo...was THRILLED to not have to pay a single singlement as was the original deal offered by NCL- (very pissed off to have to ALWAYS have to pay for a nonexistent co-traveler).........(BTW, totally GET that NCL has to sell what they can.)..can't you all get that this was a nice deal for a single traveler?Imagine if your significant other couldn't travel..divorce...death...job issues.. and you had to pay the same rate as if they were they there with you...would you go to WAFFLE HOUSE and pay for two simply because you were alone????? would you pay DOUBLE for a spa day because your partner wasn't available?? would you get tickets to a Broadway show and pay for two even if alone???? .........duh

as far as not being able to relate to couples--yes I do- every day- in every way-would just kinda like to hang out with others who aren't singing the couples song..every now and then...and if you are ever in this place........you will get it too

  5. Have to jump in here as I agree with Ruthless Boss...I waited for months to book a b2b on Epic for the solo traveler- both for the price (my 2 weeks costs the SAME as my week in April on the Spirit to Bermuda) AND to meet other solo travelers. I have traveled when married as a couple and now as a solo- I felt that NCL was recognizing a market and trying to meet the need. As a solo traveler it is more difficult to meet people to hang out with on a regular cruise- freestyle or not. NCL appeared to address that with solo cabins- As in any new thing- it takes time to catch on...Since then, the price has gone up- and I am disappointed to hear that couples are booking the cabins. I really don't want to meet any more couples- I will see them at the M&G- everywhere on the ship...it was nice to think I would meet people in the same social place I am- it's kind of like a courtyard villa...it caters to a certain clientele and wouldn't be the same if everyone hung out in the courtyard! (don't flame me with the money analogy- it is an ambience analogy) . I thought it was 'exclusive' to solos (as it was marketed and as my NCL cruise consultant told me it was)- there are plenty of cabins for couples, families, richer , poorer etc.- but until now..none that were exclusively for solos....just wish that NCL had waited for it to catch on before changing their declared purpose
