So....those that snagged one before 12 noon, was it @ 70.00 or 90.00?   The Celebrity card changed after 12 Noon.   Went back in after clearing cache and got 2 of the Celebrity cards for the wife and I.  Can only use them with initial reservation, but still saved 60.00, so all is good.

I got mine at 7am. My friends tried at 9am and already sold out.

Everything I've seen says there are two elegant nights for cruises 6 days and longer.

I've never really paid much attention to menus so can't say anything as to any differences between 5 days, 6 days, etc.  All I know is that I've never gone hungry.😁

And I don't believe that's correct about paying $25 to be able to use your cheers package at HMC, we were there in September and didn't see anything at all about that.

Carnival shares half Moon with Sister brand holland America. Pretty sure they have a plan that includes Half moon. You might have come across info for thier brand. Carnival never includes it unfortunately. That is my favorite thing on RCL and getting the drink plan.

  3. I’m curious if they are telling you if you are on Sunshine or Liberty? The Sunshine is a way better ship. Although not Horizon. I have done Glory and it is not even close to Horizon but Sunshine at least has a great serenity area. I definitely agree the havana people are getting screwed. If they are dividing between the 2 ships the havana people deserve a suite?

  4. I have been on 5 cruises. 3 Carnival sensation, Glory and Horizon. I also did 1 celebrity before kids and RCL brilliance of the seas when the kids were little. We loved the horizon this year and really want a bigger/equivalent ship. I’d love some thoughts on the following boats/itineraries. Especially from people that have done both cruise lines.

RCL Mariner 4 day Nassau And Cocoa Cay. Closest port and we could drive. Looks like a great boat. Never had a flow rider before on a boat. We would spend a few days on either side in that area.  Definitely most affordable since we can use drink package at CoCo Cay and be able to drive.

RCL  independence 5 day Labadee and Falmouth.  Probably would need to fly but can use drink package at Labadee.

Mostly interested since 1 extra day at sea.

Carnival Magic 6 day Grand Turk, Half Moon and Amber Cove. LOVE the ports but can’t use drink package. Also boat missing a lot of the bells and whistles of Horizon. We probably would fly but TA gives better incentives for RCL.

I get casino discounts with Carnival and the kids(teens)have friends they made this year from horizon who cruise carnival every year. We just aren’t close to the next level to worry about loyalty perks. I just wish Horizon was doing different itineraries next year and it would be an easy decision since we loved it.

Anyone who has sailed these, I’d love feedback. Especially if you can compare with Horizon.

I'm going to call back and verify this, but I just added FTTF to my booking and was told since one of my cabins is all minors I only had to add the FTTF to the cabin I was staying in and the kids could still board with me.

I was told by my TA also that we did not need it for the kids cabin. Actually this is not correct. It specifically mentions the minors in another cabin and they have to have their own on the Carnival website.  TAs sometimes do not know everything.  I actually found out on this website.  I will say they were not strict about checking the kids cards because they were with us but all it takes is an overzealous employee to make everyone wait even though you have 1 cabin with it.

This will be my first cruise in March. I didn’t buy FTTF however I did get on my cruise manager before 12 am the day I could set my boarding time.  I was there ready when 12 am hit and I got an 11:30 boarding time for my cruise on the Dream.   Again I am very new to all this but did my homework to and got an early boarding time

I was told this as well but found out on this site that both cabins need it.  It specically mentions this on the Carnival Website description.  Just google Carnival Faster to Fun facts.  TAs sometimes do not give out correct imformation.

  7. I think it is worth it. We have 2 cabins also because our teens are across the hall in an interior.  You do not have to stay up to midnight to try and get an early arrival appointment.  You can arrive anytime you want.  I love going straight to my cabin while others lug there stuff everywhere.  My luggage was prompt. We were on the 1st tender to Half Moon Cay.  My daughter lost her card on the next to last day. We were able to walk right up to guest services for a new one while others waited in an crazy long line to remove tips/ask about bill.  We also were the 1st group to get off the boat with Self debark.

  8. I have a few questions before booking. Do they have servers on the beach? Do they run out of chairs if you don't need an umbrella? If we got a cabana for the adults, could we just get chairs for the teens? 8 people vs. the 6 allowed. We are all sun worshipers and the kids will probably spend all thier time in the water. How early do I need to reserve? Thanks

  9. We just got off Glory. We chose self debark and had faster to Fun. Everything went smoothly until we reached the escalator. There was a employee not letting people carry thier luggage down the esaclator. You had to have 2 hands free to hold onto the rails? We had all our luggage because it was Self debark thus no one could go except the people who yelled at her and went anyway. We had to wait for the 1 elevator. Other people who cruise often commented they had never heard of this before and it slowed down the process, Glad we were faster to Fun. Also wondering if it would be nice to stay in the room until 8:3:0 and take your time lieaving. We were at the airport gate by 8:30 and had a 4 hour wait there for the plane. Would have been nice to sleep in and not rush. Would we have been better off waiting?

  10. Just offf Glory and home. Bring a big insulated cup. Deck 10 aft is nice. Above adult pool, but kids can come find you unlike serenity. Plus you are close to the adult pool/ bar if you want to get cooled off.. Take your time to debark except Grand turk and Half moon. Do not waste money on the premium wifi. . My husband had premium and it did not work except in the middle of the night. I have At and T unlimited and was able to use that in San juan and St thomas with no extra cost.since US. Whats app worked great with the social plan but make sure you have the Carnival hub app downloaded before you sail. Make your kids try the kids club at least 1 time. My 12 year old never went. She went by not in and said it didn't look fun.

  11. I want to start by saying that we are going on a cruise and my husband and I will be staying in two different rooms(1 with each child). It was cheaper than a Jr. Suite. I know that when my children were babies, they would never fall asleep when they could see me. I would stay only in Embassy Suites. Finally the day came I had to try and it was a nightmare. I finally put them in the crib, sat in the hall and waited until they were asleep. Did I go to bed at 8pm? Yes! I did find this works just in the future I was prepared. I took a few beers, a book or magazine and I had a party in my pj's! I got some strange looks but it was worth it! The kids are now 6 and 9 but I worry about nightmares and getting locked out so they will have an adult in the room. I think I would use a moniter if I was next door( with the door adjar) but the unknown is scary.
