We were in Ko Samui last November with Princess. The tender to port wast not too bad, but the return to the ship was absolutely horrible with long, long lines and delays. They use port based ferries and it was slow. When we complained to Princess (a member of our group almost passed out due to the long, hot, humid wait), we were told they are going to drop this port because of the problems with the ferries.
Its still on the programme for May/June 2018

Thanks Tony for the information. I went ahead and purchased some spirits, soft drinks and water. We are all set.
Sorry I didnt think spirits were allowed to be taken aboard. I thought it was 1 750 ml bottle of wine per adult person and unlimited soft drinks. can someone please confirm please

We can't always sail on Princess, due to scheduling issues. Are there any other lines I can sail on and still accrue points / levels on Princess?

Capt Ron, we're new to cruising and are doing a Princess cruise stopping both in Cambodia & Vietnam. In your opinion, is it best/cheaper to organise the visas yourself or do it through the ship. I understand as an Australian and travelling by sea, we are not eligible for an on line visa, is this correct? Any help would be very much appreciated.

We don't carry a lot of expensive electronics, so the safe is plenty spacious for our needs. However, if we had something larger that we wanted to secure, we would just store it in our locked suitcase, under the bed.
thats what we do in most places.. not just on a cruise. if they want the things that desperately they are willing to lug my suitcase away too, then go for it!:D

I want to buy flowers at Pike Market Place.. I hope there wont be a problem with taking it on board Solstice.

You can also bring a case or two of bottled water onboard.
can I also bring some Water flavourings like lime juice etc? and soda?

We stayed at the Moore Hotel downtown, good pricing and near everything.
