I've heard from fellow passengers on our upcoming Jan 2 Getaway cruise that upgrades are being offered already. This seems earlier than our March Break cruise where I had to call in a few weeks before the cruise to get an offer.

 

Any recent advice from others who received offers or accepted offers from the 'upgrade fairy" would be appreciated! Do they email offers or does it go through your travel agent?

The Jan 2 Getaway cruise is part of the new bidding process. I got my email almost two weeks ago. If you did not receive the email to bid you can call and ask for one to be sent to you.

This is win win for ncl they will be getting a lot more for haven now. The days of $500 or even $750 p/p are gone.

 

 

 

It probably will squash all the talk of how much I tip the butler and I am surprising my dw with this suite.

 

 

 

I have taken advantage of these deal but I am so sick of hearing about folks posting this stuff over and over again.

I bid on 3 different haven catergories & just one of my bids was accepted. Leaving a week from Sunday on The Getaway in an H6 Aft Suite.

How long after you bid did you hear you were accepted?

Lesson I learned. H6 has a large balcony left coated in back of ship. We bid on both H6&7 and raised bids a couple days later. Ended up with h7 front of ship but I have read it is a very small balcony but less walk to haven. Good luck. I am excited about our cruise next saturday

How much did you have to raise the bids above their minimum?

The Family Suite on the Dawn is really nice. It has lots of room. The butler brings your afternoon snacks and invitations to special gatherings. He never seemed like he was hovering. The daily breakfast and lunch at Cagneys was good.

Just checked the Ncl site and my September 03 sailing on escape now says departure 7 pm. I haven't received anything from Ncl. I would like to know if we can board at the regular time. Hotel checkout is 11 and if they delay boarding it is really not enough time to do anything.

Just went on the Dawn for thanksgiving and had a great time. Didn't see that the ship was in such bad condition. We were in a family suite (SJ) and it was beautiful.

I made all my reservations except Tepanyaki I emailed the pre-cruise desk and they answered right away that she had to pass it to the on ship concierge and they would do that one the day of boarding.

Very good point. My kids turn 18 this year, they should be platinum, but I have no way of checking that now.

My stepson turned 18 after we booked but before our cruise. I just called my PCC and he got it fixed. Now when I log into myncl and look at our trip I can see his past points.

My daughter and I did this last year on the Getaway. There were mixed ages. We each made 4 cupcakes. We received an apron and pictures. It was fun and the cupcakes were good.
