  1. Hello fellow NCL cruisers,

We just booked our next cruise on Encore in February 2024.  We immediately tried to book a Lagoon Villa but the only available options were a Cabana and Premium Cabana.  Having stayed in a one bedroom Villa previously we were disappointed to say the least. I made an enquiry with NCL and they couldn’t tell me if they were sold out or just hadn’t been released yet.  Is that normal? If I could book a cabana I would have assumed the Villas would also be available to book.  I’m hopeful they just haven’t been released but doubtful.

Anyone know if NCL holds Villa bookings back like Dining and Spa reservations?

Thanks in advance for any insight or info.

    Chris

  2. Boarding time no longer matters.  You can leave your bags with any porter and they'll get them to your room without issue.  We had to use black and white print outs from the hotel one trip and as long as the correct room number is on them you'll get them.

    Happy Haven sailing!  Enjoy

  3. On the breakaway now and it's already getting pretty rocky. They've had to close the outside decks on 6,7 and 8. Captain says today is going to be "smooth" and tomorrow will get rougher. They're already handing out Dramamine. Could be an interesting day at sea. The pic was taken from deck 6. 10414b65a9778df0eff95a3fd3cfd1cb.jpg

  4. I must say I am enjoying this thread. I do get a little tired about the constant complaining about the same things over and over in different threads. I understand why people are unhappy about some of the changes but find myself just skipping those threads anymore. It is nice to hear happy people that have had good experiences.....:)

Couldn't have said it better. Haters gonna hate!

We've had nothing but great experiences on 3 previous NCL cruises. Can't wait for the 4th!

  5. That's really odd. We've never been on a cruise where the butler didn't make it a point to find us and meet us, no matter what we were doing. If we weren't in the cabin when he/she first came around, they'd keep trying.

Have to agree with this. We've been on 3 Haven cruises (and are about to embark on a 4th in 3 weeks!) and each time our butler has been outstanding. At first we were reluctant to take full advantage of their services but we quickly learned they are there to take care of you, so use them. We've never had one unpack our luggage or tie our shoes, but we've ordered food from O'Sheenans and had it brought up to the Haven Pool late one night. The food was brought with a smile. And yes we tipped more than appropriately! Our youngest son mentioned the first day how he loves gummy bears and we couldn't leave the room without returning to a full bowl. Most mornings we have breakfast delivered and setup in the room. Probably the biggest perk of the Butler.

Enjoy the Haven and your Butler. Despite the negative chatter about NCL here lately, you'll have a great trip.

  6. Thanks Scott!

From our travel agent I only received the invoice which shows "Specialty Dining Package" so I may have misspoken when I said "Ultimate Dining Package" It was included with our booking so I wasn't sure if it really was a perk if I then had to pay for each entree but you clarified that for me so thanks!

  7. We're in a similar boat...pun intended!

We haven't cruise since 2013 and I am confused on the specialty dining options now as well. We have the Ultimate Dining Package but I see some restaurants are a la carté pricing now. I spoke with a rep from NCL but she didn't really clear things up for me. If we choose La Cucina for example, is there a flat fee option on the menu or does the dining package allow us to pick from the a la carte menu?

    Thanks
