Many years ago, on a different cruise line, I was chosen out of the audience to participate in the welcome aboard show. There were maybe 4 other passengers besides me who were picked. The CD had chairs lined up on the stage and we were all told to have a seat and the CD explained the little skit and what each persons part was. Then he had us all stand up and he went down the line and we had to give our name, where we were from, etc. Unbeknownst to me - after we stood up, one of the CD's helpers removed the chairs. After giving my name and details I sat back down - directly on my butt on the floor! And I was wearing a short dress! I was MORTIFIED. It got a big laugh though, the CD apologized profusely, and they went on with the skit. My part was the "damsel in distress" and my line was "Help me, help me, save me, save me". Needless to say - throughout the cruise I was approached by random strangers and asked to say the line - or they would say it at me. At least they seemed to have forgotten the fall on my butt!
Was this on Carnival and were you Mary? I remember a « bedtime story » starring Mary. It was hilarious.

I've never heard of a cruise being cancelled due to a charter.
Happened to us this year it was chartered by Melissa Etheridge:mad:

Last year my DH dressed as a barbarian armed with plastic sais (elektra's weapons) he had no problem bringing them on board. He did put them in his carry on.

Just got off last week. Slept like a log also without drink package ;)

We were on Serenade recently and had no problem with the beds.

On our Oasis cruise a few years back, Captain Trim was asked:"how many light bulbs are there in the theater?". I loved his response:"start counting!"

We used Marva Shaw on our last cruise and REALLY enjoyed our day.
We would use her again in a heartbeat.

We were on the Indy in September (20th) and hairdryers were there.

Is anyone familiar with Bill Brunkhorst, currently on the Serenade?
We had him on the Splendour and really liked him.
He did come to the M&M and always chatted friendly when you approached him.
We are on the serenade in April and hope/wish/fingers crossed he will still be on when we board.

On the only gift exchange we made the way the organisor had written a story she read while we were standing in a circle. You started with your gift and each time she said right or left, you passed your gift to the person to your right/left.
The theme was something useful for cruise and/or land vacation. We got a first aid kit, very useful.

We just came of Grandeur in January.
The food in MDR was perfect to my taste (all 4 of us actually) we did not do speciality dining either.

We are just off the Independance and it said the drinks on the card could not be used in the champagne bar.
It could vary from ship to ship.
-
Hate the idea.:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Hope it doesn't get fleet wide or we might be finished with RCI.:( Otherwise we will avoid the ships that have it.
-
No I would not be it per person or per cabin

Bill Brunkhorst was our CD on the Splendour last november.
Kirk Detweiler is now CD with Silversea cruises.
Gordon Whatman will probably finish March 15 because the 10th would be in the middle of the cruise :)

We stayed twice at Hotel Marseille.
It's right on the beach, a nice pool and close to shopping and dining.
We really enjoyed our stay.

For Gran Cayman stingray city is great. We booked a ship tour that did stingray city, the turtle farm and Hell it was great.
In Cozumel we went swimming with dolphins at Chankanaab Park. We booked directly with them (cheaper than with the ship) and it's only a short cab ride away and there is a beach where you can stay as long as you want. Then take a cab back to the ship.
In Falmouth we took the ship excursion to Dunn River falls, it's great fun you get to walk up the falls , just wear anti slip shoes and of course a swimsuit.
We always take an inside cabin as we only use it to change clothes and sleep.
Are all bars/dining venues on Mariner accepting Diamond drink vouchers?
in Royal Caribbean International

If I remember correctly it isn’t accepted in the Champagne bar and the dinning room.
