Pandora, did you really mean to say that passengers that cruise Celebrity have a lot more class than passengers that cruise Carnival and Royal? I hope I misunderstood that.

We did it years ago. We were staying at an AI in Falmouth, not there on a cruise. It was fun and entertaining. Our daughter, 8 years old at the time, loved the story of the White Witch.

On embarking day on our 2 previous cruises we went straight to Guys for lunch. Where should we go on the Dream?

We rented from Avis. They gave us instructions to walk to the Blue Iguana Shop and someone picked us up there and took us to the airport where we got our Jeep. It was very easy. If you are used to the driving, I would say go for it! It was really easy to drive around the island, we just had a hard time in the "city". On the other side of the island there are some beautiful public beaches and Rum point is very pretty.

We rented a jeep and drove over to Rum Point. It was beautiful. However, you drive on the opposite side of the road and they have tons of round abouts without street lights. When we were in the downtown area, my husband almost got us killed. Once we got out of the busy city, we were fine. But, that said, I won't ever let him drive me around there again! Lol, he doesn't do round abouts very well in the USA!

We have 2248 booked for our Jan 2015 cruise. The only thing I am worried about is that it looks like the public restrooms are right above it. I hope its quiet. But our other choice was a connecting room, and heard those could be loud depending who is next door. Plus I didn't want to whisper all week either. I am looking forward to the cove balcony. We've only had regular balconies before!

One thing to keep in mind when renting a car. You drive on the opposite side of the road and there are a bunch of round- abouts and very few stop lights. My husband almost got us killed two years ago when we rented a Jeep. Loved the drive out to Rum Point and back, but when we got back into the "city", YIKES!
We are going back in January 2015 to try a do-over and want to go back to Rum Point, but haven't quite figured out how we will get there. no way am I letting him drive!

I cruised March 2012 and March 2013. Did not gamble. Did not buy any excursions through Carnival. Booked Suites both times. Barely drank. Ate at the steak house on the second cruise. Booked a cruise for January 2015 two weeks ago. Got an offer in the mail for a free cruise 3 days ago. Can not use it because flights are crazy from Iowa and probably couldn't get the time off from work anyway.

Very nice review! I had to laugh, when I saw that you flew out of Des Moines becasue it was cheaper than KC. We live in Des Moines and haven't been able to "afford" to fly out of Des Moines on our last 3 vacations! We have driven to KC, Omaha, and Minneapolis. How the heck did you get so lucky?! I'd love to actually fly out of my own town for a change! LOL

When we were there in March, they had just rescued the Jaguars. They told us there was a circus in town and that is where they got them. They had only had them a couple days at that point. I sure wish I knew how to post a picture...they were adorable!

We went to Little French Key in March and loved it. The snorkeling there was beautiful. We held the monkeys and the baby Jaguars. They had some puppies too. We thought the lunch was really good too. I can't wait to hear if you enjoyed it.

I have no idea how many are available. I have read a few places (reviews) that they release a total of 30, maybe. I think they offer 15 and after those sell out, another 15.
If I don't get it, I will be ok. I don't have anything planned in Belize yet, and I am just renting a Jeep in Grand Cayman.
I'm just so excited to be going on a cruise!

I think I am leaning towards getting it. Good news, it is still available for my March cruise. Bad news, have to wait to get it. (Christmas is a bad time of the year to be sending extra money!)
Thanks for the responses!!:)

I can't decide if I should purchase this or not. We have a suite, so the only benefit I can see would be priority tendering. Since we have to tender at two ports and have booked private excursions, I wonder if it is worth it. I mean, thats basically paying $25 per tender. But then, I have heard horror stories about how long it can take to get off of the ship.
I guess getting to your room right away would be nice, but I don't really mind waiting either.
Opinions?
Thanks!!!

I loved him. I thought her was very funny! Wish he would be on my next cruise.

Made my reservations today. Not going until March 2013, but I am so excited to visit this beautiful island!

Is it always a two hour time difference? During certain months, isn't it one hour? Being in port 5am until 1pm kind of sucks! Something else to think about when picking a cruise....But then, I'm still learning! :)
Thanks for all of the help with the questions!

For transportation, is that $20 per person per way? What is the price per person for the day on the island? I read on-line that it $18 per person. Is that correct?
Is there enough time to go to Little French Key from the Mahagany Bay pier? We are cruising with Carnival. We will be in port 7am-3pm (ship time, haven't quite figured out Island time yet).
Thank you so much for any answers you can give me. I really appreciate it!

I am looking at this beautiful place as an option as well. I see on Trip Advisor that people on cruises have went to Little French Key, but I would like to hear from some CC folks.
Thanks! :)

Sweatshirt or long sleeve sweater. We were cold every night until we got to our first port and could buy sweatshirts for the whole family.
