  1. Also to note, if the requested category is closed out in "princess's promo system" the princess agent cannot refare your booking if this is the case, you would need to cancel and rebook to get that new price. Also after 6 times i would demand to speak to a Guest Services repeatedly until they transfer you.

Have been trying to get answers from Princess for about 2 hours now, keep getting cut off ,or the site crashes, so apologize for posting here, but leaving on Sunday. So far I have dealt with four chat reps and then get timed out and lose them.  I am incredibly frustrated.  1) What time do I board? The reps keep telling me it's in the email....the email says to use the Medallion apo...mine doesn't work at all, the online version crashes, or logs me out about every three minutes, can't find it in time.   2) The email tells me to go to "x"  and get a boarding pass... there is nothing in what I see to even find a boarding pass.... isn't that the whole purpose of the Medallion? (which I now have, though useless apparently), and 3) I have rather limited luggage and would prefer to not use a porter... twice on cruises my luggage didn't turn up until midnight once, not until morning the next day on another.  I was sent to my Cruise Personalizer by one rep.... it flashed on the screen and them crashed...cannot get back in.  I think I have made a huge mistake by taking this cruise if Princess is this hard to deal with. Sorry for the rant, any suggestions?

boarding is usually 11-230 , there are no longer boarding passes, luggage can be hand carried on by you if you so choose.

In a balcony cabin the lower berths are placed in the twin config., and the upper berths lower from the ceiling one over each lower bed. In a few cabins the 4th berth is a roll away.

In a mini suite the 3rd berth is the convertible 2 cushion sofa and the 4th berth lowers from the ceiling over the sofa.

Interior & outside view cabins vary. Most have the 3rd & 4th berths fold out from the walls over the twin beds.

Not certain how full suites are configured, except that the two family suites are actually two rooms with all lower beds.

This is correct and the Emerald is a grand class ship and has very few cabins that accommodate 3rd or 4th passengers. Note that you will not have multiple cabins in a row of they are all 4 person cabins too.  As to full suites most only accommodate 3. I really recommend a good CVP that is USA based or a Good Travel Agent that can sort this for you and make sure you have minimal info for each guest (ie full legal name and DOB's) Happy Sailing!

Best to keep your counsel on this (ie. BE QUIET) and not broadcast it! It's one of the few things that has not been taken away from us --- yet. Would like to keep it that way!

Exactly !  On our last voyage the casino hosts caught on to this and MANY guests accounts were  frozen for violating the rules of their OBC. This was on Discovery about a month ago.

My TA just presented me with the precruise hotels choices for two nights(with transfers) next August.  My choices -  both Fairmonts run $850 to $900 USD.  I guess i will just have to add it to my overall Alaska cruise tour experience.  But-YIKES, it’s just a hotel.

This price actually includes transfer from YVR to hotel and hotel to ship on embarkation day, its not a bad deal "nice" YVR hotels this past season were very high in price

Hi All - is it at all possible for only 1 of 2 people in a cabin to get Princess Plus?  Or is it required for both to add?

    Thank you.

I have only heard of if pax 2 is a minor they will make an exception, otherwise pax 1/2 must have the same package

The Diamond Princess had the misfortune to be the first cruise ship affected by the Corona Virus (Covid 19).  She was quarantined in Yokohama in Feb 2020 for a month with 3700 passengers and crew onboard.  Since this was a new virus, medical authorities didn't handle the outbreak very well.  When they finally allowed passengers to disembark 700 people had been infected.  For some reason the number that died from the virus can't be confirmed and depending on what you read the number ranges from 9 to 14.  There is an HBO special titled, The Last Cruise, and documents the Covid 19 outbreak on the Diamond.

I will be cruising on the Diamond on Jan 6th for 16 days to Hawaii.

The diamond was the first cruise ship that gained media attention! Many other ships/brands were experiencing the same but got little/no coverage
