  1. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction,

We are looking for a nice beach that’s calm, one person in our group is a little nervous around water and we are trying to get her to enjoy the beauty that is Barbados.

We have no problem taking a taxi so I guess what we need to know is what beach you would recommend some of us do snorkel and I would love to see some turtles...

Is there anything in walking distance or any information about how to get a good beach?

We will be traveling in September if that makes a difference.

    Thanks for your help

  2. I believe both parties in the cabin have to go on the drinks package or is it every adult on your booking? We are in separate cabins sharing with our kids so would be great if just hubby could have the package....

Its per cabin if you are in one room and the other adult is in another than you wont have to both buy it.

  3. I'm a big planner too so I know where you're coming from! I thought I'd be able to walk from the hotel to the port, but it would have been way too difficult with all my bags on those narrow streets. I took a taxi but I don't remember how much it cost. (Maybe $14-$15 plus bags???)

Welcome to Georgia, pollen capital of the world! Your allergies will never be the same!

Thank You, I looked on line and by zone it likes about $15. And yes the pollen is crazy I moved from Ohio so I was used to allergies but nothing like here. And everything turning green from the pollen EWWW...

Thanks again for the great review, we are going three days before and staying two days after so you gave us lots of ideas what to do while there.

  4. LOL well I'm glad you found this helpful! The taxi to Da House was $19 plus $1 per bag. Is that where you're staying? When is your cruise?

Sent from my iPhone using Cruise Critic Forums mobile app

Not until 2014 but im a planner with a capital "P"... I found Da House researching the Island then found your review so I was really excited. So from airport to hotel is $19 + $1.

How did you get to the cruise port? If also by taxi was that another $ 19 or was it a different amount. I apoligize if I over looked the answer!

Also the Hub and I just moved to Ga in October, we are loving it here!

I love this... I was taking notes while reading your review little did I know if I would have waited I could have just printed this!!!!

Do you recall the price of the taxi from Da House to the Port?

  6. Since most cove balconies are situated under the deck where the casino, lounges and show room are located, we were just wondering if you can hear a lot of noise in them--especially at night when you're trying to sleep?

Also, do the partitions on either side of the balcony on a cove close you off better from neighboring balconies than the partitions do on a regular balcony cabin? We like to sit out at night with our balcony lights off and watch the stars and passing ships, etc. Invariably, someone turns their outside balcony light on in a neighboring cabin and leaves it on all week long. Just wondering if the cove balconies eliminate that problem?

Thanks for any and all input!

My DH and I had a cove mid ship on the dream.... As of now it's our favorite location. We didn't have any noise issues and loved the set up.

  7. we are staying at the Intercontinental too and will call ahead for a service to take us to the port. 2 I heard of are : SAS and limos of miami

Hi, I compared SAS to the price of a taxi from Intercontiental and the taxi was cheaper. Plus SAS told me they will do other pick ups along the way unless I wanted to pay for a private shuttle. It's completely up to you but wanted to give you the heads up.

  8. Looking for a Nice Hotel near port of Miami with shuttle to port, shuttle from airport would be nice Too>

I would call around to the hotels, what I have found is some say they do transfers and when I call they state they no longer do. Our group is staying at the Intercontential its about a $10 taxi fee which may be cheaper then a hotel transfer and you don't have to wait on anyone.
