I do, and will do! Thanks

Any tips on how to coordinate a couple of dinners with friends who do not have UDP? Should we go to the restaurant on boarding day together?

Yippie! Not only do I love your entertaining and informative reviews, but I get to enjoy this one right before my first Harmony sailing, because when you get off, it will be my turn!

We have a group of 30 family and friends sailing on Allure of Seas in October. Our amazing group coordinator just sent me the confirmation for our planned group events. We've been assigned a roped off section in the solarium at 7pm on boarding day for our welcome.
I find the solarium extremely warm and uncomfortable during the day, but can't recall spending much time there in the evenings. Does it get a bit more pleasant in the evenings? I and a number of the ladies in the group have reached the "heat sensitivity" stage if you catch my drift. Should I be concerned?

Thanks everyone for your comments. I should have clarified our intent was not to pull a fast one and get non-suite guest onboard quicker. They are both first timers, and since we talked them into taking the cruise, we definitely want to be there for them. Our TA made it a point to say they could board with us, without our even asking. I was skeptical of that advice, and figured others have probably been in a similar situations, so to be safe, asked the question in this forum.
It's settled. We will be comfortable and avoid any embarrassment/ anxieties by boarding with them.

Our experience has been that the port people are pretty good about keeping non-suite guests out of the suite waiting area at Terminal 18. If it's just two people, they may let them stay with you, but if not, just stay with them. The difference is maybe 10 minutes.
Thank you!

We are booked in a Sky Class Suite, but my boyfriends brother, and girlfriend are not. Will they be allowed to board with us? Trying to avoid an awkward moment, as we'll be arriving at the port together.

We had 10240 last year on Oasis and are booked for 11644 in October, on Allure. We love the OS and took them over the CLS due to the HUGE balcony. Only downside is the long walk to the CK/SL, but that's not a deal breaker.
You will love the cabin and location.
I was able to surprise DW as she thought we were in a balcony on the Oasis. She is not a vacation planner so it was easy for me until we walked up to the door and she saw a door bell.
We have 11644 on the October 16th Allure sailing. Like you, we opted for the larger balcony over the location of the CLS. This is our second time in an OS, and we absolutely love it.
Last year we traveled with 14 other family and friends and it was spacious enough to entertain some evenings.

Is Giovanni's open for lunch on Indy, or just dinner?

Thanks Matt!

Curios about the 5 Night Western, Belize City and Cozumel as well.

According to the Port Everglades terminal schedule we'll be at pier 25, which is what I suspected and others confirmed. Hopefully not too bad, and no Public Heath or Coast Guard inspections.

This is great news! Yes, I recall the delayed departures on those cruises as well, once for installation of a new satellite. Think we sailed around 8:30 that year. Not sure what the reason was the following year.
Fingers are crossed all will be fine. Thanks for sharing.

We will be sailing Independence next month. Our departure date is the same as Oasis, so we won't be at terminal 18. Having done a similar departure on Liberty, I'm terrified to think we might have the same experience (close to 3hrs to board). I want to say that being the first Caribbean sailing after Liberty returned from the Med played a huge role, but I'm not 100% sure.
Really concerned as we'll have 17 first time and/or new to royal cruisers with us. I so want their experience to be a good one. Please share the good, bad and ugly. Suffice to say, if my last experience at Port Everglades had been my first, I'd be scorned for life.

Good to know. Thanks

An agent told me Giovanni's was an option for lunch on Independence of the Seas, but the cruise planner only shows the dinner option. Has anyone that sailed recently been able to book lunch in the venue? Pre cruise or onboard?

I was actually attempting to search on his name when I didn't see him listed on your latest list and accidentally posted. I apologize for the inconvenience.

How do you rate him and will he be on Liberty or Grandeur come 11-1-14?
I'm really fond of Rich, and I hope he comes back to Liberty for my April 2015 cruise.

Does a roll-out schedule exist showing the ships that have these machines and when other ships might have them installed?
Pre-owned handbags in shops onboard-were others aware?

Pre-owned luxury accessories are no different than certified pre-owned luxury cars, except they hold their value better, and more often than not appreciate. They'’ve been authenticated if you're purchasing from a reputable reseller, and not a random website. What Goes Around is indeed reputable, and I look forward to browsing the inventory on my next cruise.
