Question: how much was the taxi from the port to Pigeon island? what it a water taxi or vehicle taxi?

I was looking for suggestions, any one who's arrived at the San Juan airport 5am or the day of the cruise. San Juan Airport- sleep or stay in the airport for a couple of hrs before cruise? any suggestions. I was thinking of staying in the airport for the morning then go to the port. around 10am.

This sounds like a good beach day, is it an excursion that can be purchased in the port when you arrive at the port, i will be with Holland and do not see an excursion like this. What was the cost of the excursion???

I’m trying to find out if there is a beach closed to the port that you can take a cab and be there for a couple hrs…. if so:

How far is the beach from the port?

How much is the Cab fare?

VERY IMPORTANT: is it safe????

Do you need a taxi to get to a free beach if so, how much do they charge is it safe to take a taxi and go to this small beach?

We just returned and had a great time. Our ship didn't arrive in port until 11 so we didn't get to the resort until after 12. It only takes about 20 minutes by cab. My daughter loved our day there. The beach was calm and clear aqua blue sea with tropical fish swimming around us. We went in the fresh water pools which were a nice change from all the salt water. The pools have amazing waterfalls throughout and they're spread around the resort so it didn't feel crowded. We paid for a pass with O'grille lunch, it was an ok lunch of burgers fries and various salads. I've heard they don't kick you out right at 5 when the pass ends but we were ready to go by then after all the swimming and sun. I would do this again without hesitation! I can't comment on a city tour except that the can driver answered all our questions as we were passing through Nassau both times.

Krissfon how much was taxi fare? was it safe to travel?

you mention there are close by rental companies that will offer shuttles to the port of FLL, which companies offer that?

So they are still ofering free drop off form MIA to POM and pick up from POM to MIA? the only companies that do this is Alamo, NAtional....?

I did this 3 yeard ago but was wondering if all the rental companies still offer free drop off from MIA (rental shuttle) to POM? I read in a few posts that not all company are offering it. Can some one let me know if this true? if so what company offer the free shuttle to POM.

We will be in Nassau in a couple of weeks and was looking to go to a free beach don't need the extra things like chairs and umbrellas will be there after 1:45 pm. We wanted to go yo cable beach but from what I've read there are hotel passes for purchase is there a way we can just take a taxi and just walk to cable beach? Or do we need to get a day pass from a holtel?

I'm thinking of booking this excursion thru NCL for OCHO RIO, the description of the tour states that we will go to dunns river and then to dolphin cove and will not be swimming with dolphin just go to the park. My questions is how is the park, the tours also stated that there other animals in the park to see like bird and other? Can you take pictures of the Dolphins, sharks ect.has any one done a similar tour with NLC or any other Cruise line?

I;ve cruise out of miami before an the port people can be berry pushy, is there a way we can walk our luggage to the place where they need to go? or do the workers need to take you luggage? How much do we tip if we cant avoid it?
