  1. It totally doesn't surprise me that I called RC and they couldn't answer my question. Hopefully someone onboard or that has sailed recently can.

After the refurb. have they added a TV. to the second bedroom in the 2 bedroom Royal Suite formally known as the Family suite.

Never have sailed in a Aft cabin before. Is there Any privacy on the balcony or are you entertainment for the Windjammer?:p:cool::p

  2. Nor did I.. First GoPro but its higher pixel than my old Nikon that's for sure. That lenses was on it already but its working well for the most part.

Sorry did not want to start the flame throwing

LMAO how dare you not purchase the chest strap for it so you can use two cameras at once :p

BTW Great review and I hope you post some more videos when you are back on land and have better internet !!

  3. Ours was 10 months old and it was on Disney but now NOS has nursery as well. You don't have to go back every hour. You just drop them off with diapers and anything else they need and they change them and even feed them for you. For emergencies they give you a pager.

Ty ! Silly question but do you get to meet the counselors watching them. Lol not looking to do 15 min interrogation just would like to know who will be watching my son !

  4. Do you mean are the bedrooms as big as a JS room without the couch? These bedrooms are not as large as a JS or D1 regular balcony room without the couch.

The living area is very nice and big but the bedrooms, especially the bedroom that opens off of the hallway entrance, are small. The master bedroom is a little larger than the other bedroom but there is a dressing table with mirror in there that takes up extra room. I'm not sure you would have room to set a crib up in there. Actually since there is not a dressing table in the other bedroom there is more room in there so maybe a crib would fit.

If you use the search feature here on Cruise Critic and you might be able to find some pics of the room and bedrooms.

I was actually talking D1 but you answered that Ty !

There was a post above by Marcci22 that was very creative with spliting up the in-laws and recieving there senior discount each room if we did the two.

I'm afraid it's going to be tight in the RFS not so much living room area but the bedrooms !

  5. The corner aft RFS on the Grandeur does not have a dining table in the living area. There is a small round table that can fit five chairs out on the huge balcony where you can have a meal. There is a sofa and two side chairs in the living area. We stayed in one of those corner aft RFS on Grandeur in March of this year.

We have stayed in that room a few times and love it. Neither of the bedrooms are very big but were fine for us.

Would you say they are at least the size of a balcony minus couch area?

  6. Just curious as to why the rooms must be connecting as opposed to one beside the other. Extra keys can be made at guest services if your worried about access to the cabin. This would open up a lot of different possibilities.

They don't have to connect ! That was more for convenience ! But a GS and a D1 is more then RFS for 5 and all get perks then versus 3.

  7. Thanks All !!!

The suite perks for my In-laws is not a necessity and I did notice the bathroom diff. but I think I can give that up for the baby sitting :D

IMO I think it's silly that the only thing a GS conects to is a Owners suite. There are two Jr's ( if available) that connect but the we ALL loose suite perks and I like them.

  8. Thanks Bob !!!

and the ship is the Grandeur

If they had a Jr. or even a normal balcony that conected to a GS it wouldn't even be a thought. It's the ease of accessability for a baby sitter.

2nd thought that my boy will still be in diapers so no pool for him :( and I poss could set a small blow up pool on balcony

  9. Hope you get there in time to see the last of it. I had originally booked NYE on the Enchantment for this year just to see the Parade again but ended up switching to Christmas on the Liberty to avoid changing ships.

The best floats last year were the ones that had the theme "all things British" quite comical to see the Queens carriage pulled by the Beatles.

I just Googled it and found out I will miss it !! It starts at 2am and should be finished by 8am  Here's what I found and looks like I really would of enjoyed that !!

I can say Ty too because now I found a site to maybe find something else to do while there !!

  10. Not sure if the businesses will be open but if they are it will not be until later in the day as on Jan 1 the city of Nassau will be having their annual Junkanoo, which is basically a musical street parade. We saw the one last year on Boxing Day and it was excellent. They spend all year working on their floats and costumes for this parade. Last year the businesses opened after the parade ended which was early afternoon.

Thanks for the heads up on the parade !! I will be in Nassau also on the 1st but sailing on the Explorer and we don't arrive till 2pm but I think I may try and catch some of it if possible :D
