Going to book a Cruise in Jan. Which way will be warmer? Also Ocean temps. Eastern or Western. Itins,,,,,,Bahamas, Half Moon Cay and Grand Turk or Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Looking at leaving 16th or 17th of Jan. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I just checked and your Camera is discontinued. It also doesnt have image stabilization. That alone will help with shakiness. But it wont take it all away. Not sure what your looking for. A DSLR, a point and shoot or a Mirrorless camera. Which is very similar to a DSLR but smaller and weighs less. The new Mirrorless cameras are very, very good. 5 No No's for me. Dont talk about your kids, how many cruises you have been on and that your Gold , Diamond or Emerald or whatever color, gem stone or anything like that. Politics and Religion. Other than that anything is a Topic. I get along with everyone. Till one of these is mentioned. I just dont like snooty people. Mo matter how much money you make or your job. You will never be better than anyone else. Some people really need to remember this!

As far as filling your own drinks at the buffet. The stations are there. All you do to is look around. But yes they will get them for you. I love those Coke machines. They also have them at the entrance to The pizza place. 24/7. You can get all kinds of different drinks there. Flavored water too. The ice cream thing? Not something to complain about. I have to admit I like RC adult section better. The Solarium is great for relaxing either in the Sun or Shade. Also those 2 hot tubs right next to the Solarium that hang over the edge is very very cool!! 20 stories up! Makes for some great views! FOS is still my favorite ship I have sailed on. Haven't been on her since the refurb but I'll bet it's still great! I'm going to miss her when she moves out PC. Perfect ship size too! Not to big and not to small.

Why would anyone leave? Carnival is making it cheaper by getting rid of everything everyone likes. After all isn't that what Carnival is about? Being Cheap?? Not being sarcastic. Just getting to the point.

I don't smoke. But Thanks for reminding me why I shouldn't sail on Celebrity. It really saddens me when everyone thinks they can take away your rights. No need to say well what about my rights? I don't need to smell it. Just like me. If you don't like it go somewhere else. I wish they would get rid of all the alcohol. If you get rid of one bad thing you need get rid of all the bad things.

Great review!! The Magic does go to Castaway Cay twice in one sailing but not all the time. Its a 4 day Cruise. Leaves from Miami.

If you post this on the NCL forum you will get a much different answer. Just so you know. You can't take the Cheerleader out of Carnival.

I went solo. It was great! I travel quite a bit solo but didn't know for sure if I would like to Cruise solo. Loved it! Sign up for the meet for your ship and talk to those people. Maybe you can find dinner partners there. I never went to the MDR. I ate everywhere else but there. Never had a problem if I was alone eating or striking up a conversation with someone sitting next to me. The tables are not that far apart. In most of the places anyway. I see your going on Imagination. That was my first Cruise almost 20 years ago. Wow! You will only be gone what about 3 or 4 days? I wouldn't worry about eating arrangements. Advantages- doing what you want when you want. Sleep till noon, take a nap, eat when you want to, watch a movie. The choice is yours! Disadvantages-no one to talk to at dinner. Sometimes. It's hard when you feel like talking and there is no one there. But strike up a conversation with anyone. You can tell if they want to talk or not. I was nervous for a few hours and by the time we set sail all my worries went away. I would go solo again in a heartbeat!!

The only thing I got from the Commercial is. If I was young and still a virgin. I would lose it on a Carnival Cruise. Where do I sign up? HAHAHAHA!! Seriously though very, very bad taste. But what do you expect from the Walmart of the Seas.

Go with either Triumph or Magic. They should both have more to do. Just pick the cheapest one and go that route. I think you will be happy with either. Magic is newer. But if you look at RCCL. Check out the Brilliance of the Seas. It leaves out of Tampa too.

I do recognize that many people use ecig to wean off of tobacco cigarettes and feel a bit bad that those have to share the cigarette smoking areas but using an ecig is a choice just like smoking tobacco is a choice, just like smoking nothing at all is a choice.

Do you drink Coffee? Coke or Pepsi? Drink Alcohol? If you do your addicted to drugs! Just like you said its a choice right? Think before you speak it will work wonders!!!

This is a no win situation. I mean you cant talk to anyone who thinks they know everything and there are lot of those people in this forum. Instead of doing some research. Most of the people replying to this thread are just like the Media. Jumping on the bandwagon. Surprise, surprise, surprise! Sheep,,,follow the leader and I cant think for myself. Its a shame.

I was worried about going solo too. I went on Freedom of the Seas. I never did see or attend a meet. However I did attend the roll call meet. Met quite a few people. So I was really never alone. I was running into different people through out the Cruise. I never did go to the Dining Room. I just didnt want to. I ate other places. No problems. Im a social person so it wasnt hard to strike up a conversation if I felt like talking. I like having the freedom to do what I want when I want. It was great! I did get that person who asks why are you here alone? I felt like saying its none of your business ( I hate nosey people). I just blew it off and told them why. When you cant find someone to go do it by yourself! I have traveled on many land vacations alone. The Cruise was new to me for going solo. But after a few hours it felt just like it does on land. Hate to sound like a Nike commercial but Just Do It! You wont regret it.

Jason just so everyone knows. That article was proven false. Someone started passing around the information and then more Media jumped on the bandwagon without doing any research. Like usual the Media is trying to make something out of nothing. I wast going to say anything till I read that. There is a lot of misinformation in this thread. People are always scared of stuff they know nothing about. This thread speaks volumes on that. Ill say it again. I could be standing next to you and hitting my e cig and you would never know. Unless you were in my business and trying to figure out what I was doing. We all know no one in these forums get in anyone's business right?

So far I have learned that the Cruise last week was there. The Cruise from a year ago was there. Some future Cruises are going there. What exactly does this tell aynone? How does it help with the question? Doesnt anyone know why some of the Cruises wont be going to St Marteen anymore? I would have thought someone would have asked John. Considering he knows everything.
