Anyone have any suggestions?  I have tried contacting Crown and Anchor with no help, I am Diamond+ and they referred me back to Guest Relations.  So much for being loyal to Royal.

Well we have gone through several pieces of luggage over the past 12 years. No matter what you pay for luggage you still need it for all those trips.

We broke down and got Briggs & Riley luggage and it is trackable and has a life time warranty. We have had this luggage for four years now and still no damage. Briggs & Riley will repair any damage or replace it with the new model. It is a lot more than you really want to pay but it is worth the price. Enjoy life to the fullest.

  2. So a friend of mine sailed Anthem in March (1st RCI cruise) and will be sailing Radiance in May. How does she get/find out her Loyalty number to get the Gold promotions on her 2nd cruise.

I would tell her from experience, but I bought a Next cruise certificate on my first cruise and so my Loyalty number was assigned to me before the end of my first cruise.

How can I get a membership number while onboard - Royal Caribbean International Guests from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, South America (excluding Brazil), Puerto Rico and the Caribbean islands can go to the Internet Café onboard any Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruises ship and enroll by clicking on the front page Crown & Anchor Society icon. You will receive a membership number to use immediately by scheduling an appointment with the Loyalty & Cruise Sales staff and take advantage of the Onboard Booking Bonus on reservations for future cruises. 2. You can fill out an onboard enrollment form at the Guest Relations Desk or visit the Loyalty & Cruise Sales team at the Crown & Anchor Society desk during any sailing and drop off your form in the Crown & Anchor Society kiosk.

  3. Type in your ship and add dining package and see what you get.

Currently on Freedom of the Seas, there are three specialty restaurants with individual costs higher than the package's daily rate:

With this ultimate dining package, a person could save up to $105 on their cruise compared to paying for the restaurants on their own.

  4. Hello!

My husband and I will be celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary on the Liberty of the Seas leaving March 26, 2017. We have never sailed with RCI before - last year we cruised the Carnival Magic going to the Eastern Caribbean.

We were just looking for any suggestions on what to do or NOT to do, excursions reviews and just find out more about how/if the experience will be different?

Also... what is RCI's equivalent to Carnivals Molten Chocolate Cake :)

    Thanks y'all! :)

Welcome to RCCL. I think the equivalent to Molten is the Volcano Chocolate cake. If you search for RCCL Menu in your search engine, you might get an idea on the menu's for the different restaurants aboard your ship. There is also the Quest that is a must to see and Adult show with fun and excitement. Enjoy your cruise.

  5. We sailed on the Allure for the presidents cruise and sailed I a Grand Suite(GS). GS and above suites as well pinnacles are authorized to use the Coastal Kitchen(CK). You can ask the hostess or host in the CK and should be allowed one guest during your sailing. That depends on how many Suite guests and pinnacles are onboard. With the exception that Junior Suites are allowed to book dinner in the Coastal Kitchen at the discretion of the CK manager. Enjoy your sailing.

  6. Last night while going thru our Anthem reservations, DW pitched a curveball: Cancel this and Rhapsody and take a serious look at that Explorer sailing that crosses the International dateline, my take was "we've done it a few many times on a plane" to which she replied "things could be different on a ship". Has anyone done this before?Party time? I really don't know which questions to ask because I really don't know what to make of this, except that it will eat up 4 of my 6 weeks of holiday next year and don't even know what it's worth. Thank you in advance for sharing your insights and past experiences:)

    xs:

-pre cruise isn't an issue, I got relatives in Sydney.

-interior cabin to offset the airfare.

We sailed it 2014 on Radiance and will be doing it again Apr 2017 on Explorer. They have a party on deck with crew and cruisers. There are a lot of sea days which is very relaxing. this cruise is hitting different ports we took 2 years ago.

If you have not been to Australia before you may want to get there a few days early to venture around Sydney and the surrounding area. Go out and look at the thread for the sailing Apr 2017 Explorer.

  7. We were on the Allure in Sept and was allowed to have a guest once through the cruise. Pinnacles are already allowed in there due to their statues. You will need to book your reservation with the restaurant manager for each meal. Enjoy the Coastal Kitchen, food was wonderful.

  8. Bought an Invicta Watch on EOS last summer. Happy enough with the watch. Crystal fogged a little when it got wet but cleared so wasn't worried. Price was also OK.

Then it started running fast for no reason.

I had registered the warranty at Invictawatch.com and tried to open a service ticket. Went to select the problem and it started adding costs in addition to the $28 s/h I was told about on board. Some warrantly. :(

Tried to email the service email twice, no response, tried calling the 800 number and got what sounds like the number is out of service.

Don't want to just send my watch off into nowhere.

Anyone successfully get their Invicta serviced under the warrant?

    TIA,

    Ed

I have looked at Invicta watches onboard. After reading the reviews of the watch I do not think I would own one. All the problems with warranty and customer service. If I were you I would take it on your next cruise and ask them onboard how to get the right service or repairs. There are many sites and reviews on the Invicta watches, have a look and maybe there is a repair shop near you. Good luck.

Personally I own citizen watches and have not had a problem. One was bought on a ship and they said it has a two year warranty. I almost bought another but is was way to much even with the discount onboard.

  9. We also sail exclusively in Grand Suite since we discovered them. There is always the crowding in the lounge. They are not suppose to save seats for others. If it were me I would just sit in an empty seat and then wait for the fireworks. We have sailed with Denzil a few years back when he was new to the concierge lounge and he could not handle the crowd then.

We just drank at the overflow bar for the lounge at that time. We will be sailing with him again out of Sydney so, hope he has improved and able to mingle with his guests.

  10. Looked at the Cruise Planner sample 150 Central Park menu and it confuses me. Is the experience no longer a pre-set tasting menu? There seems to be quite a lot of choice instead of what I remember from the old sample .pdf menus a couple of years ago. If anyone has any very recent experience, I'd love to hear from you, especially if it was on Harmony.

Does anyone know if they sell dining packages once onboard? I have OBC and grats and drinks are already paid and will likely pre-purchase internet so wanted to use the OBC for a 5 night dining package instead. Anyone purchased a dining package on boarding day? On Oasis class or Harmony specifically?

Looking forward to hearing from this ever so helpful and knowledgable group!

Yes, you can purchase dinning packages once you board. They had the sampler the last time we sailed on Allure on a Transatlantic a year ago.

  11. My wife and I are soon to cruise on both the Liberty of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. Staying in Grand Suites on both cruises.

I read somewhere on this site that there was free internet aboard the Allure of the Seas for the Grand Suites passengers. Hope that is true.

If so, will it also be free for suite guests aboard the Liberty of the seas or does this perk only apply to the larger class of ships?

    Thank you,

    USMC

    Semper Fi

We were in a GS on Allure 17 - 25 Sept and the Voom was free for GS and higher suites. You will be Sky Class with access to the coastal kitchen and lounge deck 17, the sea pass is purple.

On the Vision the card is gold. I can not help you with the Voom /internet there. Enjoy your cruises.

  12. Just like rubrrick, we got off the Allure yesterday. We ate at the Coastal Kitchen 4 times for super and found the food very good and always hot not like the MDR or Windjammer. We did not know about the escargot but did order lobster on the sea food second formal night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner had limited menus but the food was excellent.

  13. Hello, I will be in Ketchikan on August 10th, 2016 on the Radiance of the Seas. I am looking for 1 or 2 more people to join my sister and me for a private salmon fishing charter in the morning . The cost is $525 for 3 or $600 for 4 people. They come highly recommended from TripAdvisor. Please email me if interested. brenda210218@yahoo.com

You might want to post on the thread sailing on your cruise. You may get more interested fishermen.

  14. I am sure you are aware of the below, you should be able to find all your required information within the internet if you search for it. I know you are looking for a quick answer. We see a lot of ppl wearing the patch.

    Behavioral Strategies for Motion Sickness

•In the car: sit in the front seat or drive.

•Aboard a ship: stay toward the middle and look at the horizon. Avoid ship travel if possible. Stay out of small tight places where you can't see the horizon.

•On the airplane: ask for a window seat. The front of the plane may be preferable, as it is usually less noisy. Some people find that sitting in the middle is the best location as it provides one with a better appreciation of the aircraft's tilt. Don't sit near the bulkhead as this gives you no visual help to figure out how much you are really tilted.

•For cars: It may be helpful to mentally rehearse a trip route as familiarity and anticipation is sometimes helpful.

•Face leeward (so if you vomit, it gets blown away from the ship, not into it).

•Eat bland foods -- crackers and bread, or bananas, rice, applesauce and toast.

  15. I was wondering if anyone could answer a question about family suites? I'm pretty sure Bob will be able to answer this. I want to book a family suite. My question is, if the people in the family suite have different C&A statuses, and not everyone is the same status, will the person who has the highest status get their discount for the room? Also, if someone in the room is a legal resident of Florida, will we also be able to get a Florida discount on the room? Or will just the people from Florida get that discount?

Thanks for any input you can provide.

    Bob

Your status does not change unless you reach a new level. You will all receive a gold card and will have access to the suites lounge. If you have a Florida discount they should apply it also. Enjoy the large space and the amenities that go with it.

  16. there is a product out there called pacsafe. look it up on the internet. We use them when we travel. they are anti-theft, RFID protected, purses, wallets and other bags. they have a wire inserted in the material or chain that have special locks that make it almost impossible for them to steal them or steal information.
