  1. reilly1,

    You have been very helpful.

One more question that I hope you can answer quickly. Do I really need to purchase a timed ticket to the Titanic Museum prior to arriving?

Is the Museum so busy that not having a timed ticket might prevent me from entering?

Thank you very much for your advice!

Hi, we were on Queen Elizabeth last week calling at Belfast on a Round Britain cruise. Like you, we were keen to visit the Titanic Experience but we didn't pre-book.

If you get there early in the morning, it's not busy. Take a taxi from the quay side (lots available), cost about £6, or like us, take the free shuttle to the city centre then the Hop on, Hop off bus (as we wanted to do this as well). The Titanic Experience was either the third or forth stop depending on which bus line you catch. btw, City Sightseeing Buses are more frequent than Titanic and City buses.

We enjoyed the Titanic Experience immensely but it is not a museum and there are very few actual objects.

Hope you have a great time!

  2. Hi guys - I am another keen scrapbooker, I tend to use digital scrapbooking for cruises, and a combination of traditional and digital for my family scrapbooks.

Like many others, I keep everything from cruising, scan the items I want to have on display and put the original documents in the pockets behind each scrapbook page. So for each days entry there will be a copy of the daily ships activities paper, an electronic news sheet printout, the menu for evening meal and anything else that I have collected!

Over here in the UK, scrapbooking has also started to decline and is not as popular as it used to be, but I don't need much, even when I am doing traditional scapbooks, as I can make background paper and embellishments digitally and print them out. And I like to use large size students ring binders instead of albums - this way I can have lots of pages each in their own plastic wallets, so only one album needed per cruise. And I decorate the front of the ring binder with photos, embellishments, lace and other materials so its pretty to look at too.

Happy Scrapping, and Happy Cruising to all !!! :):):)
