Chris, I hope you are still looking at this thread as I have 2 questions for you. First I hadn't been on the Everglades webcam in ages & when I went there the cams said not available, are they now charging to watch ? When I was watching you & others on my tablet doing periscope it would run alright for a few minutes & then stop & start for the rest of it, do you know what the problem could be? Enjoyed as always your pictures, thoughts, etc. from start to finish of your trips. Have a safe trip home today- Linda

Chris I just doubled checked the Webcams & it still says unavailable- I live in the Columbus area & The Buckeye Cruise for cancer with Coach Meyer, football players, other athletes & fans will be leaving FLL on the 21st of this month & I wanted to watch the ship sail, guess I'll just have to keep checking everyday to see if things change. I will try what you said to do when periscoping & thank you for answering my questions- Linda:)

So there you have it my friends! Quantum class has a lot of things to really like about it but also a lot of things not to like about it. I can only hope that things will be improved and go much smoother on Anthem when she arrives in the states. With that, LIVE from Quantum of the Seas has concluded!

 

I wanted to take the time to again thank everyone that followed along and commented and the kind words everyone had for my thread. I also want to thank all my wonderful friends that chose to join me on this sailing plus all the new friends I made on this sailing and had fun with it. It really DID make my cruise that much more enjoyable.

Hi Chris, Your live review was wonderful as usual, you always take lots of pictures & give so much info on what the ships offer, I'll be looking forward to when you cruise on the Regal Princess as you'll be on a different cruise line. The picture Emmy took of you looking out the ship's window was beautiful, did you know she was taking it? You should get enlarged & framed! Hi, Am just now reading this post. Will everyone please give The Bucks a break. Yes we had a terrible loss against VT but we never lost another game after that, & to start we lost Braxton & then JT & then the 3rd string QB Cardale led us to our last 3 great games which included the 1st National Championship game which will be OSU's honor forever! We have great coaches & our team played together to win their goal of getting to the championship game. Yes OSU will see VT in Blacksburg in Aug. & you can count on OSU not letting another loss happen there- GO BUCKS beat VT- Linda

Does anyone know of the date and or ship name for this Buckeye cruise next year? I'd love to be a part of the back to back national championship cruise.

 

Hi, You can put in buckeye cruise for cancer2016.com & get all the info that way. I'm not sure exactly when they put it up though, so keep trying.(There's a travel agency in Columbus that does all the bookings for this cruise). O-H- Linda

Glad I can help. Didn't plan on it and promised to unplug while away. It wasn't until they turned on the WiFi for all this became possible.

 

We stopped moving again and I don't know why, but hopefully we are at the point we just need to hold for the pilot to arrive.

Hi, Tell the people from the Columbus area they should be glad they are still on the ship-we set a record -12 this morning, the coldest since 1914!! BRRRR.O H - - !! Linda:)

I'm a Michigan grad. I'm not too worried about anything these days. :)

 

And I actually cheered for OSU in the championship game. My dad grew up in Zanesville and is a die-hard OSU fan. If you read the rest of the thread and other threads about this specific cruise, you'd know I was joking.

I will say while we bleed Scarlet and Grey, Coach Meyer did give Nick Saban and Bama due credit as the bar that OSU had to rise to for a chance to compete. It was very class act of him to acknowledge those who you have to rise to the level of to become better in your own right.

Yes they(Bama) did set the bar high but you know as a Buckeye fan our team played their hearts out together & each game got better & better, even after a 3rd string quarterback came in. This season I feel has to be the best one ever. Enjoy your extra day of cruising & go Bucks! Linda

First time cruising out of Tampa. Luckily we gave ourselves a few days to get back. I'm checking with my credit card company to see what my travel protection benefits are. It wouldn't be too terrible to be in Tampa another day.

 

And yes, it is the Buckeye Cruise. I hate the Buckeyes and all they stand for, but even I feel bad for the folks on the ship.

 

Hi, I'm a devoted Buckeye fan & can understand why you hate our team after Wisconsin lost 59-0 when OSU played your team. We have a team that really worked together this season & coaches who prepared the players to do what they did this year, win the 1st National Championship!! Our teams are both in the Big Ten Conference & I can't understand you wouldn't be glad that the Big Ten showed we have teams that can compete with the SEC, etc. now after years of being looked down on. Don't feel bad about the OSU passengers I'm sure they are enjoying the extra time together as we are a great community of fans! Linda

The terminal is very nice and organized. My family was very excited. Remember this was my uncle's first cruise. He was taking pictures at a faster rate than I was. Funny note one of the security officers asked him to stop and she personally erased the pictures that he took there. Meanwhile, hundredths of people walked by taking pictures of everything. It is impossible to keep control on that. People will take pictures no matter what. After all, it is the beginning of the vacation!!!

They had a delightful stand there with water and juice, the ironic part is that it was not offered at any of the ports while boarding the vessel again. Personally, I much rather have the drinks after a very hot day at the port!

 

We all had a drink. I mixed the pineapple juice with some Pellegrino.

 

 

It was early in the morning, so the line went by quickly.

 

 

Checking in was really amusing! My family is quite loud, and everything that happened was an event. For starters the new Colombian passports are a mess and they don't work half the time. So we were all joking around about it, the lady at the counter told us that we were going to be a fun group. Later on 3 of our nationalities changed to Cameroon, she said that I must have messed up. Um, there is no way in hell that I would have messed up. I triple check everything for errors and I printed the check-in paper like 5 times over the issues with my cousin. Not a big deal, she just had to modify it. I just found it funny that she blamed me, after we all know how useless their website is...

 

After we checked in we found 3 empty chairs and mom took possession of them. She proceeded to give everyone their motion sickness medicine. I declined. Honestly, there was no reason to take them so early. The ship was scheduled to leave port at 7pm. Either way I bought a coke for them and they all took them.

 

There was a nice window there and my uncle and I went to get some pictures.

Hello Linda, no I am on MSC Divina for Aug 9. I had forgotten that I has a cruise on Getaway, lol. I cancelled that one long ago, got a great deal on Divina and decided to finally try her out.

 

I will not doing a live review, but I will do a full review once I get home as I always do :)

Was good to see the carousel again, it was built in Mansfield, Oh where I use to live. They have a big one in downtown Mansfield & they are the only ones in the world who still makes them. Will enjoy your review & it will feel like I'm on the Allure again. Bon voyage Chris- Linda

Good morning friends and welcome to day four of LIVE from Celebrity Silhouette! We're about two and a half hours from anchoring at Grand Cayman and the weather looks great today. I'm off to have coffee soon. I have the island tour and turtle farm booked for today :)

Chris because of your review on this cruise whenever I"m able to take another one again it will definitely be on the Silhouette. The restaurants, cabins & all other areas of the ship look awesome. Even though the Grill was pricey it certainly looked like fun to do the pizza's & the rest of the menu looked great too. How is the pricing for this cruise compared to the Oasis class on RCCI? I followed your review on the Oasis & as everyone else has said you do a great job & make all of us feel like we are cruising with you!! Celebrity,Chris is your official advertising man, hope you reward him in some way. Continue to have a wonderful cruise:cool: Linda I'm trying to figure out why this isn't going thru, will keep trying.
