It has been about ten years since we  last sailed with Princess. Am I reading this correctly?  Is there a now charge for the pizza bar that is that was typically located near the main swimming pool on (3) different ships in the past?

Discovery Princess 1/27/2024 is our next cruise. 

We are staying at Laqunita Inn Miami Airport East 10/15/17.

They will pick us up at the airport (frequent shuttles) and will drop us off at the Port of Miami the next day.

 

As far as I am aware, getting from the ship to wherever you need to go (airport, local area) is up to you.

The shuttle operator offered post cruise transportation from the cruise terminal POM to the airport MIA for $10 per person (cash ) the morning of taking us from the hotel to POM. Cheap!

We stayed there on Sunday 10/15/17.

There were some rooms blocked off on third floor. They had a floor blower assumed to be drying out the hallway carpet. It was loud but not enough to keep us awake.

Our room AC was set to minimum 65* but room temperature stayed at 80-82*. It was hot but not OMG hot.

We needed the shuttle to get from the hotel to the Port of Miami the next morning so we sucked it up.

The next morning after breakfast, we casually mentioned it to them and they charged us only half of the bill!

BTW The shuttle bus operator offers transportation from the cruise terminal to the MIA post cruis for only $10 per person. I think they are called Miami Tours.

Princess had a passenger talent show during each of our 5 cruises with them in the 00s.

Does celebrity have talent shows? Does celebrity have karaoke? We are sailing on the Infinity next month. I sing. Usually one must audition for the shows on Princess.

We are staying at Quality Inn on Stirling Blvd in Ft Lauderdale. They will pick you up at the airport and get you to the cruise port. They run about $100/night.
