    It is hard to say without knowing all the details.  But many travel insurance companies will let you move the policy from a cancelled booking to a new one, as long as you have no losses on the cancelled booking.  You should talk to whoever sold you the insurance policy, or the insurance company directly if that is not satisfactory.

  2. We spent the day on this excursion March 2 and it was incredible! Captain Bob is a great host and very informative about St. Maarten. First we went to see the sailboats lined up for a regatta, then he took us to great snorkeling spots where we saw turtles, fish and shipwrecks. We visited Pinel Island, had a delicious lunch at the culinary capital of the Caribbean, Grand Case (the Mahi Mahi was so good!), and went to Maho Beach where we saw a number of planes come in right over our heads. In between all of this we sped around on his boat and saw beautiful yachts and scenery on both sides of the island.

     

    When we first took off he asked us what time we needed to be back on our ship (4:30). He had us back to his dock at 3:45 and the short walk to the ship took us 10 minutes at most.

     

    This is truly an excursion that is not to be missed! It was the last day of our cruise, what a way to end a vacation!

     

    Hats off to Captain Bob!!

  3. We spent Saturday, March 2 with Captain Bob and it was an awesome day! I will post a detailed review this week, but to anyone questioning getting back in time, don't worry. We were supposed to be on board at 4:30, he had us back to his dock at 3:45 and it is a ten minute walk to the ship. He does a fantastic trip. We will definitely do it again.

  4. I am so happy to see Captain Bob post here. We are so looking forward to our day with him on March 2. It is unfortunate that a few people posted negatively about his trips because the vast majority rave about it. From what I have read on reviews and our emails back and forth, he puts his heart and soul in his work. We can't wait to spend the day with him!

That is exactly the info the Captain gave me. unfortunately sometimes people give bad reviews but skip over some of the details. after my communication with him today I am totally comfortable with him and the excursion. additionally, I did not mention in my previous post that he offered to refund our deposit if we chose not to go which i thought was very nice. this trip will be awesome, I am certain!

  6. We are a group that are booked with Capt. Bob for March 2. After reading the negative reviews here we had some major concerns about this excursion.

     

    I e-mailed Captain Bob this morning listing our concerns and citing the various issues that were posted here. He responded quickly and with a very in-depth, detailed report on each issue we were concerned about and the circumstances involved with them.

     

    Needless to say, we are all looking forward to a great day in St. Maarten with Captain Bob!!!
