  1. STAY !!!! 5236 has the extra long bowling alley balcony. There are only 4 of these on the ship. You are getting the long balcony for the price of a 7A. I would stay-put and enjoy having 2 lounge chairs, 2 chairs and a table -vs- 2 chairs and a table only. The lifeboats for this cabin will only come up to the bottom of the balcony.

    :):)

Excellent, will do!! Former Hoosier myself, so thanks:)

  2. Hi, I just received an upsell email from Carnival. Right now, I am in a partially obstructed 7A (stateroom 5236) and I'm pretty happy with that. Looking out over the top of life boats is okay with me.

The upsell is to move to an unobstructed 8k (stateroom 7231).

My only concern is moving from a room I have reviewd to be good, to an unknown. I once upgraded and changed categories, but the room I upgraded to was stinky and old.

Would you move from 7A to 8k, or would you save the money for drinks/excursions? Price to move is only $40.

    :)

  3. This is from months ago, but just had to put it out there. Someone one else wrote this review on google reviews, but I experienced the exact same thing. Mini-nightmare:eek:

We tried it, thinking we would save a buck compared to the cruise line terminal. Although the parking was cheaper and it sounded great, they completely mislead you about where they were going to park you. We were told that we would be parking a in a parking garage directly across from the terminal, only to find out when we arrived, they were directing us under a highway underpass 3 miles away, took our car and keys and didn't give us a pickup ticket. Just told us to leave the keys in the ignition. Things already weren't looking right, but what was our choices, we had already paid online and the cruise was leaving soon. There were about 30 people standing there all waiting for 1 van. To take you back to the original place they said they would park us. Which was still 1 mile from our terminal that we had to walk carrying all of our luggage. There was no organization or line to get on the van so people were ready to start fighting. People that had been waiting there for an hour were having people who just got their cutting in line and it was getting ugly. When you get in the bus they had you sitting on top of each other. One lady said she wasn't going to let the van leave unless she got on. My wife had to sit on the floor in between the driver and passenger while two other people tried to jump on each other's laps. It was complete and utter madness. I felt like I was a clown in a clown car. This service is a joke, don't ever use it. You've been warned

  4. Can you see if you can downgrade to the 4K that feature french doors instead of a window. (better room for less money)

There are NO cabins UNDER the galley on this ship- when you are reading to avoid the galley people are saying do not book under the galley.

You cabin is all the way aft- long walk to the stairs/elevators./ long way up to the food/pools.

    You might experience vibrations/shuddering.

Thank you!! I will check into that:) The long walk I don't mind. The vibrations/shuddering scare me.

  5. I "upgraded" from an interior cabin to an ocean view cabin, which is great- but then I realized that it is 3 doors down from the galley- not so great. I have read warnings here about avoiding being above or below the galley, but nothing about being a few doors down.

I'm sailing on the Carnival Legend. Does anyone know if this will potentially be a nightmare room? I didn't tell my husband that I upgraded us, bc I wanted it to be a nice surprise. It would suck if it was a bad surprise.

    Thanks!:)
