So many poor reviews. We were on the Nieuw Statendam last fall so would expect a similar experience on the Oosterdam but these reviews don't even sound like the same cruise line.
Thanks for the link.

We're considering a Med. cruise in 2024 on Oosterdam. I've been reading reviews and quite frankly, I'm horrified. Food/beverages unavailable, toilets backing up, leaks, mold, broken thermostats that can't be fixed for the entire cruise, badly soiled soft goods, missed ports, chaos during embarking/disembarking. Review after review. I think we'll look elsewhere.
Where are these reviews? I'm on the Oosterdam this July and have been following CC for information, as we have never sailed HAL, I've not noticed anything to alarm me.

Hi, we have a cabana booked for 12 days on a Med cruise this summer. How much should we tip the attendant?
-
Just been upgraded to cabin 8341 from an inside on the saver fare. Northern Europe cruise in February I don't think that too many people will be sunbathing outside the balcony.

UPDATED: What if I don't get my test results back in time?
All guests ages five and older must produce a negative viral COVID-19 test taken before embarkation on all Princess sailings.
We understand that it may be difficult for some of our guests to find testing that can provide results within a tight turnaround. Accordingly, for fully vaccinated guests who can show proof of testing within the three-day window but did not receive their test results back in time. Princess will provide complimentary testing at or near the terminal on the day of your cruise departure.
Guests who test positive for COVID-19 will be denied boarding, together with their family members and close contacts, may be required to quarantine shoreside and may be restricted from commercial air travel. If you, your family members, travel companions or other close contacts are suspected of having COVID-19 and are denied boarding, you will be entitled to a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC).

Thanks, we were looking at the middle section with the angled balconies but I didn’t fancy sitting under the sea walk.
The sea walk was redesigned on the sky so looking down onto the angled balconies is not easy. Also may I add hardly anyone walks across the skywalk a complete waste of time in my opinion. As has been said balconies on the sky are mostly pathetically small so the angled balconies offer a nice bit of extra space.

Fantastic news. Another step towards normality.

The amount of stress expressed here ref passengers potentially getting covid is amazing to me. You would think covid was like cancer. It isn't. It is like getting the flu for most people. It is easy to get even if vaccinated. We all have a choice, we either stay home or accept the risk and stop complaining. Cruise lines are doing what they can. Best we can do is wear a mask in public areas, avoid crowds if we decide to cruise.
Totally agree

Wow! Amazing how the same cruise is viewed by different people. We were on this cruise and had a fantastic time.

You can not book any pre testing for covid at Boots West Quay Southampton. The nearest boots doing the test is 11 miles away in Fareham.

As has been said before do we really need another thread moaning about the medallion app. I myself have had no problems with it.

I contacted Princess a few weeks ago with regards to changing my cabin and no they don't allow you to downgrade. You can upgrade and pay the difference or change cabin to another one in the same grade without charge.

So pleased to see this video of cabin 17219. We have this booked for October and it looks fantastic. Thanks for the link.

Having read this topic I switched from M511 to E409 for our upcoming Mediterranean Adventurer cruise in July/August. Thanks everyone for the information provided.

There are no fewer than 23 St Petersburg excursions available to book on our May 29th sailing?
We are also on the May 29th cruise. First time with Royal Caribbean and first baltic cruise we will probably book our excursions with RC. Have you any tips for RC newbies we are travelling with our youngest son who will be 18.

We advertise our drive on JustPark for about £4.20 a day. 10 minute taxi ride to the terminals some people have even walked down to the terminals.

does your husband also wear shorts to the mdr on picture night ? 😉
No we absolutely love the dressing up for formal nights and are quite often over dressed for the non formal nights.

And that was actually only 13, lol. Although he did say at a minimum...
Strange how you would assume that I'm a man. I leave two drinks over for my husband to have as he will reach his 15 drinks limit.

Agreed. The beauty of having a choice what works for you is what makes your cruise experience.
So very true.

Since a third of the the plus fare is the premium drinks package it is quite obvious that it does not benefit non drinkers. However myself on sea days as a minimum I will have 3 beers in the morning, a glass of wine with lunch, 3 beers in the afternoon, a pre-dinner beer, two glasses of wine and a beer with dinner and a couple of shorts for the theatre. £30 per day with wifi and tips is a bargain.

I booked a saver fare and decided to add the plus fare. A quick call to Princess and the plus package was added to my booking a very simple and easy process.
