I bring two sets of binoculars and a have a good telephoto lens on the camera. when I see something worth shooting, I loan the binoculars to the people on either side of me. Its my way of sharing the scenery and not having someone bumping me as I am shooting.

The best cruise/line was the one he was on at the time.
My sentiments as well. We book out cruises based upon which ship has the itinerary that best fits our desire.

I just LOVE the rough sea days with big rollers and having to "hold on"! Went as the only passenger once in winter on a freighter in the north atlantic. We lost 4 containers! Seas so vigorous only the captain, first engineer, and I could eat. Had to tie myself into my berth.
I know I am an exception. Bring it on!
I was working on a 44' boat doing marine seismic research when a storm hit making us go from about 5' seas to 8' to 12' seas. Of the 11 people on board, only the captain, 1st mate and myself were not sick. The captain and first mate kept telling the guys to eat jelly donuts because they taste the same both directions.
Whether on sea or in the air, I prefer a bit of turbulence. It makes the experience more fun!

Does anyone know if RCCL is going to dock in Toukon or Le Seyne Mer?
LoS docks in La Seyne Sur Mer on a Sunday. There is a local market in town, but a short ferry ride across the bay will get you to Toulon, where there is another local market and a few tourist trap shops. The small cafe to the left of where the ferry docks serves crepes that brought one of the best smiles I have seen from my wife!

Another thing I like to bring is something small and odd enough that when photographed at a port of call, my friends can agree that I must have been there! On land vacations or while on board the ship, one of the little green men does a nice job. But in order to be seen in public with my wife, I have to resort to something considerably smaller and less conspicuous. ;)

When I see the mooring lines dropped into the water and fee the gentle movement caused by the thrusters, we're cruising.:)

I enjoy waking up about 04:00, and while my wife and 90% of the boat is asleep, taking pictures of the little green man enjoying his "cruise"! ;)

After noticing that the majority of my cabin stewards came from areas that have a very spicy diet, I started giving some of my own chile blend (Habenero is 1/3rd by weight) to them. It brings a touch of home to them, as the ship board food is often bland by comparison!

If public areas are going to become closed off for a group function, regardless of the size or identity of the group, the other passengers should be notified in advance as this affects everybody. As long as the group doesn't get any waivers from the standard sailing agreement other than financial, there shouldn't be any problems.
