On your trip, did they have any theme parties or anything? We are going on Freedom in just over 4 weeks. The last cruise we went on had a 70's night theme party. I haven't been able to find anything yet for this upcoming trip though.

For those that have seen unmanned boats like that, did you ever find out the story about them? How did they get there? What happened to the crew?

I was on the Carnival Fantasy heading back to Charleston, SC on Sunday, Nov 22. Around the Port St Lucie/Port Canaveral area, we stopped at sea (I think we were about 30 miles offshore but could be mistaken on that). There was a small fishing vessel on our port side with no signs of anyone on board. We stayed there for nearly 45 minutes or so and anther fishing vessel showed up. Someone boarded the first boat and confirmed that no one was aboard. The second fishing vessel and our ship then sailed on our way. An announcement on our ship said no one was aboard the first boat. With no lives in danger, we headed on.

I have tried to do some searching to see if I could find out anything about this unmanned boat and the story of what happened but can't find anything. Has anyone heard about this or have any suggestions of where to get more information? I have a pic of the registration number but there was no vessel name on the stern.

We are on that same cruise leaving Port Canaveral this coming Sunday (the 16th). We are staying at a hotel the night before that has a parking/shuttle deal. We leave our vehicle at the hotel for the week. We get two shuttle passes per room for round trip to and from the port. Might be worth looking into if you are staying overnight.

Just heard on the Port Canaveral webcam she may not be leaving until 2:30 am. I can't promise heard correctly though.

When you said you heard it, do you mean the audio playing on the webcam? I can hear noise but it is general background noise from Fishlips restaurant where the cam is mounted.

Glad to hear it is minor and they will get underway soon. We have a group of nearly 40 people sailing a week from today. Can't wait!!!
