There is a harness system used to evacuate if there’s a problem and it gets stuck whilst raised up and can not be lowered - is the weight limit for this system!

I'm fairly certain there are only few of those suites. I'll bet another suite can be booked that offers that other stuff. Something for everyone.

Yeah they now have your muster station stamped on to them so you can’t re use the bands as will likely be a different station on a different cruise

Yes it is definitely the Surf and Steam package in this deal (using it right now infact!)

I seriously doubt they will touch the colour scheme - they never did it with any other ship in drydock!

They definitely did with Explorer staterooms a couple of years back (not the wooden fixtures but the carpets, bedding, curtains, chairs etc.) - looked much nicer afterwards

Well, it was my son who is Gold, not Diamond Plus and it was an interior (promenade) room and we were told we wouldn't get double points because the room was discounted. This was several years ago.

 

However, I will email C&A and see what they say, if they'll apply the extra points after 5 years. If so, it'll bump him up to platinum.

It was only introduced in 2014 I believe it was the double points for solos - so wasn't in place 5 years ago unfortunately!

I think it's mainly that we're getting further north compared to the caribbean and are right on the edge of the satellite coverage area

Definitely in the limited coverage area now (we're almost level with the south west coast of cornwall in England) however still feels fast and responsive (definitely more like a land based connection than a ship one!!) no problem streaming video etc. either :)

Are you currently on the Indy and getting thses ping rates? If yes,can you do me a favor and ping console.worldoftanks.com and tell me what you get?

Attached below, about a day and a half away from southampton at the moment

I just today had another meeting with the IT Manager (3 stripe, high level) to talk about IPSec VPN being blocked. He said to his knowledge VPN was not blocked, so I used to my iPad Pro to prove its failure. He took down the information and will get back to me. I ask once again if the Liberty is going to get O3b in the future and he said "no". If anyone cruising the Liberty is expecting true Voom let me say it's not happening. I also asked if the Indy was getting Voom he was under the impression it's not.

He's definitely incorrect about Indy - three new antennas were installed above the sky bar not long before leaving for the transatlantic to Southampton (hotel director revealed this!) in readiness and it was activated for the start of the t/a. Consistently getting over 20mbs downloads and around 250 ping! (Below 200 in the Caribbean) :)

Definitely a different experience on Indy for me st the moment still - not had any drop outs at all! Thinking the surf and stream package must be bit different would ask to go on to that one if you're having problems still if it was me!!

That's why I mentioned ping times in my post. I don't remember exactly what they were, but I'm thinking around 300ms.

Well, hopefully a tech savvy person on the Indy can confirm a low ping rate. I will ask the Concierge host to email the Concierge host on the Indy and find out.

Posted them a few days ago and just done another one (attached below) on the Indy TA just north east of the Azores now - this is the surf and stream package, haven't used it much last day or two not noticed any problems as some have mentioned on here - maybe thats specific to the surf only package perhaps?

Ping not quite as low as when leaving the caribbean a bit further south although perhaps to be expected. Was sub 200 then

We also have been getting kicked off and have to log in multiple times.

Yeah takes a little while to login now and again just times out and have to try again, no real problems once connected however!

Any news on how the internet speed (Voom) is looking now on Indy?

22mb/sec download and 10mb/sec upload! Under 200 ping too

Would definitely say it's 'proper' zoom on here!

Just boarded the Indy for the TA and can confirm that I can still get in the DL as a diamond (sea pass card works fine and sign on door still says it also) :)

Also remember that you won't receive double C&A points on these as you would do when traveling solo in a normal double cabin.

The omboard wifi is pants to be honest and I can't find out how to log off on my phone so I can use my laptop, I have to leave it for two hours to automatically do it, so that's two hours I can't use it, then when I use my laptop and then want to use my phone I have to leave that for another two hours :-/ wifi also verrryyy slowwww

Should just be able to type logoff.com in your address bar and that should do it :)

Captain Rick Sullivan will be leaving EX at the end of the current cruise on Friday 15th may!

Was docked just across the water from allure when in Cadiz on explorer a couple of days back, couldn't see any sign of slides being installed around the pool area at all as of yet! (Not to say there isn't any work that isn't visible happening though!)

Rob McNally will be taking over at the end of the current cruise on explorer (on 15th may) - joined the ship today and will take over then!
