We are on the Carnival Valor, at port in St. Lucia on March 5th.

 

It seems as though the ship-sponsored options for seeing the Pitons all involve 5 or 6 hours on a bus. While we might like to see some of the other sites, I don't know if we want to spend the entire day on a bus.

 

What are the options for seeing the Pitons? Is the best option a boat ride and time at the beach? Are there good recommendations for tour operators?

Is this your first cruise or just first on NCL? The Gem, is part of the Jewel class ships which are my favorite. Have a great cruise. We are on the Pearl in a little less than 3 months.

Not my first cruise, but will be first time on the Gem..

I've been on the Gem twice from NYC. It's a great ship. Have a great trip! :D:D

We used them in St Maarten and this was the highlight of our cruise..
